  1. sounds fishy to me :) :D
  2. yes - ours certainly does in relation to the sat nav
  3. Thought I read somewhere that they are under the passenger seat
  4. (from the faq) This for the wireless remote - post '97
  5. I second that - just had to tighten the drivers side door strap but it made more noise when opening - a horrible double click -_-
  6. upload to some free webspace and post a link (depending on your isp you probably have some free space - if not do a google search )
  7. wasn't the steering very heavy then?
  8. immobiliser problem - does the door led flash in any set pattern, have you another key to try? or relay 30 see the faq for intermittent non starting
  9. Umm Thought about the wires but turning off the ignition and on again without disturbing the doors will correct the problem so still haven't investigated and further
  10. I get the same problem sometimes - then it goes away - not often enough to investigate further
  11.   the difference is that the one from home uses a different tense "you should have turned right 100 yards ago" as opposed to "turn right in 100 yards" makes a difference to the amount of rubber left on tyres rather than road!!!!!
  12. I would assume that it would be about
  13. IIRC you have to copy the file into the TT directory (overwriting the previous - so make a copy) and then you can select the voice required in preferences
  14. sure I've read somewhere that the air con pipes break with the flexing if driven too long
  15. its more a weight/size range - up from 9kg up to about 2/3 years(depending on size) they sit on an elevated seat(built in) with a 5 point harness and downward extended headrests, from then they sit on the elevated seat with the normal 3 point seat belt with extended headrest. When they are tall enough the elevated seat drops (pull one strap - and the cushion unfolds to become a normal adult seat) and the extended head rest can be removed (pull out headrest remove extension - replace headrest). The beauty is that it takes seconds to convert from one to another. As for fitting - they fit just like any of the middle/rear seats - pull lever to fold flat, pull strap to tilt vertical and then squeeze two bar and lift (mind you they are solid and about 35kg to lug around).
  16. I would also be thinking compressor - I assume with no gas the pressure switch tells the compressor not to bother (clutch not engaged) and so you dont get the screeching/smell - compressor seized ??
  17. IIRC it requires the inertial reel to be bolted to the floor between rows 2 & 3 just to the right of the seat - may get in the way depending how much you use the right rear seat
  18. Have a look in the faq - click the link in my signature line
  19. Forum 1 Essex Fraud 0 :D :D :D
  20. If it were on a galaxy I would suspect the wiring in the door to piller rubber boot shorting due to cracked insulation (the warm weather- making the insulation softer and flexible ) does the focus have such problems ???
  21. thought I might try duct tape :) :D :D
  22. look in the faq for instructions how to remove trim panels :D
  23. Given that it started by losing speed - I would assume that its a vacuum fault which has now progressed to the point that it doesn't work at all rather than a switch problem
