Incey are there any audio outputs apart from the remote headphone? If there are you can buy a Belkin Tunecast II FM transmitter where you plug the 3.5mm jack into the audio output, try and find a free frequency to transmit on and then tune one of the radio channels into this frequency. Although the sound isn't spectacular, it's good enough for the kiddies.

Agree with the above comments ... but you really need to buy a damp tester. This is a small instrument which has a couple of really sharp prongs that you gently insert into the inside walls of the caravan and measures current. It's worth mentioning also that it's not just Ford who are having problems with DMF failures.

The only trouble with this is that WD40 is a degreaser and removes any lubrication you had in the first place. Yes it will probably free them off for a while but you will need to regrease the spindles to prevent them from seizing.

Talking to a freind of mine who works for Ford states this is a common problem with the 1.8 TDCi engine and they have fixed a few using the latest PCM update. There is also a problem with what is called "idle clip"; With the Ford common rail system, the throttle pedal doesn't "input" unless the engine is running at 750rpm or more.

No it isn't Ady ....... it's only the VW variants ie the Sharan that you can tell by the Tdi badge .... its the number on the engine block, rear right cubby hole or the three letter number on the V5 that will tell you ...mine was an AUY.... 115PS although the Tdi badge was red.
