achillman .... I have exactly the same with mine and I traced it to somewhere behind the glovebox. I d love to know what it is but is more like a relay, similar to an indicator type relay clicking. I have noticed though its only first thing in the morning so maybe Wolfie is right when its something to do with the aux heater?

Might be worth checking to see what channel the television is tuned to the video recorder / Freeview box. If they're close to the ITV / Channel 4 channels, you could have co-channel interference.
