  2. Thanks for that martin ...... I bought a new one just shortly after I bought the car ..... funny old thing it was worse than the old one.
  3. That must have been before you had the wood panels and felt roof fitted Maz.....
  4. Hi Obee, I would agree with Cepheus on the Norton Internet Security Suite 2006 ...... I've tried all the freebies and various trial versions that had all the usual facilities but the kids still managed to get on sites that I wasnt too happy about. In fact, the Norton is the only one that has prevented any "nasties" from being downloaded inadvertantly. Yes it is cheaper to buy an OEM version off E-bay and after the first year you have to subscribe to it, but hey, its worth it knowing that the kids are safe.
  5. Its probably the lassoo stuck in the cattledrive pulley speck .....???
  6. Try renewing the roof felt and applying a coat of creosote..... that will sort it Rockdoctor.....

Rear shocks shouldnt be much of a problem mate .... anyway, loadsa good people on here who will be more than willing to point you in the right direction. Chris

  9. Whitty ..... I have what they call the Journey pack 2 fitted to mine ...... SAT/NAV with a Multi Function display and the two front headrests are solid with DVD screens fitted. The DVD player is fitted to a different console between the two front seats with an A/V module just above it. This allows you to plug up to four headphones in and also the opportunity to input a games console so the kids can either play on the playstation on one screen or watch a DVD on the other. Now if you're really clever you can buy an adapter that allows you to watch a DVD on the Multi function display in the front. My daughter sits in the middle seat using a booster and the useful thing is the 3 point belt that you can unbuckle from both sides which makes it easier to get her out in an emergency.
  10. mmmmmm .... my bottom sounds a bit lumpy at the moment .... no seriousl Daz ..... sounds like you got some water ingress somewhere and hasnt had a chance to dry out properly. Id definately start around the electrics / ignition near to where the leak was mate. There again, when the garage leak tested it did it leak and spray everywhere under pressure? Sounds to me you need to take it back and get them to sort it. Best of luck m8
  11. Good point Nik ...... you see people like me who are always wingeing about something dont have any mates :D Put that flipping violin away!!!!!! :D

  16. Had a look at the Rover sight Greg? I find if you have a darker background its easier on the eyes. Is there a way you can adjust the way we PM freinds without having to go through different windows .... it just seems a bit fiddly and quite long winded at the moment.

  18. Dunno whether you have read this article jk m8 ..might help you? http://www.ross-tech.com/vag-com/faq_3.html#3.1
  19. Maz .... if there isnt a level sensor you might like to just pull the electrical connector off the sensor you have just replaced. The light should go out as the pressure sensor is basically a switch providing an earth. So, if you disconnect the wire the light should go out. If not then you have a short circuit ..... mmmm .... wiring or a parallel earth somewhere.
  20. Multi Function Display - can display Sat Nav Map and Audio stuff .... that reminds me ...must take some photos and post them on the forum. Chris
  21. Daz .... if there isnt a level sensor, its not a latched fault that has to be cleared using VAG-COM is it m8?

  23. I woke up to 1/2 an inch ........ I just got called Justin ;)
  24. Sorry to hear you have damaged the tyre but this could have been a lot worse. Suggestion - get the tyre dealers to do the tracking as this could have knocked the wheels out of alignment and will save your new tyres from premature wear. You may as well get them to balance the front wheels to see if that will get rid of the wobble. Hope you have calmed down a bit now Maz.
