Sounds to me like a dodgy temp sensor to me. Haven't got a clue where it is on the V6 ... sure someone will come up with an answer.

Is the "run on" pump working? ....... Although you say the coolant temperature wasn't hot, it may have been at the heater itself and caused an overheat condition. Has the ambient air temperature dropped enough for it to restart since? ..... I know mine hasn't since the last cold snap we've had.

New Turbo?? ....... sounds like the oil seal has gone on it. Thought about a repair rather than replacing with new?

My Mark2 Galaxy never had balance weights clipped to the rims during the 80,000 mile I had it for. The Mark3 Galaxy has one weight on each wheel clipped to the RIMs. Why? Because the company who fit the tyres to the rims are on commission. So, to take the wheel off the balance kit to fit a weight wastes time and therefore money. :16: I had to remind my local tyre fitters to stick the weights on the inside of the wheels ...... answer ...... tut
