Yep ......what you had was 10010101100111000101001001000101 ........ you should have had 100100100100100010010010010001001001001001. Easy as that!

What they say and do Porkstone? ......... wouldn't trust them as far as I can throw them. Personally, I would diagnose it yourself .... first by checking all the rear brake light bulbs. If OK then check fuses. If OK then change the switch to the correct one? Then you're looking at wiring.

Glad you got it sorted .......it's funny you talk of nightmares ..... I had one when installing the sub-woofer and managed to knock a pipe off the boost control solenoid when pushing a wire through the bulkhead. Ne mind ....happy kiddies anyway matey.

Leigh, what you'll have to do is to get the engine nice and hot and have a good look round the hoses, radiator etc and dare I mention it? ........ the dreaded head gasket between the block and the head. Is it dripping or seeping when cold? How about the air con ...cos that leaves a nice puddle of water under the car when it's been used?
-
Hi Leigh, I'll think you'll find it's coming from the bottom front of the car ......... doh!
-
Glad to be of service mum ........ a quick reboot may solve the DVD drive problem.
-
Yep but the drivers may be the problem. Best to do a fresh install to make sure.
-
Have a go.....dont forget to remove the device driver first and re-install the other modem.
-
I can't see any problems with doing this so give it a go .....the error you received could be resolved using this ...... I think...
-
Are you sure it's the ASDL light flashing and not the USB light. If it is the USB light then you may need to re-install the modem drivers. If it isn't then sounds like an ISP problem with the line. Try disconnecting everything attached to the phone line, without the splitter, and connect the modem directly and see if that makes a difference.

Morning Bayleaf and welcome from me. Look forward to your posts ...sorry can't help you with your problems as I haven't had the pleasure of the faults you describe ....I know Mum has recently done a window regulator on hers.

Its not a built in screen saver is it mate? ......... have you tried playing a disc or does it do it when you are? It could be a thermal cut-out. Have a look at the setup menu and see if anything refers to a screen saver.

Would tend to agree with you Tim ...... mines around the same weight as yours and I tow up Dinas Mawddwy .....needle doesn't move a fraction! Now here's a test. Dinas Mawddwy

As a pure guess ...... The Transmitter needs power so I would try red to 12V, black to an earth and the white is the aerial. Thats assuming the audio out from the unit goes to the L and R RCA connectors on the transmitter. You then tune the radio in the car to the Transmitter frequency. Hope that helps.

Agree with you on the resonance effect Sher and yes Mum there are numerous factors that will induce "snaking" very similar to "fishtailing" on aircraft. The centre of gravity and pressure are a main factor and affected by numerous variables. The centre of gravity is 3 dimensional and the closer that gets to the towing point the less likely the rig will snake. The problem with that is the you then exceed the noseweight and wreck the suspension on the car. So ideally the weight distribution should be over the caravan axle. Any mass has momentum once accelerated (MxV) and placing a load behind the axle will amplify the effect. The only time I have had a rig snake was when going to fast, so I do agree that the differential air pressure between the front and rear of the van can induce snaking through turbulence. A good discussion.

Very similar to the Galaxy matey ....... either the self adjuster or the cable on that side is seized. Have you changed the pads at all on the rear discs? If not then I would change them and this will give you an opportunity to clean and regrease the bits and pieces. Remember you'll need a brake piston windback tool to retract the piston which allows you to put in the new pads.

Puff!!!! ........ get them number two's innit .... makes it much more interesting emptying them ..... and the smell! ...ooooyaaaarrrr!

First time I've heard of that problem matey. I can't see any problems with wiring straight to the battery as long as you stick an anti-surge fuse inline with the 12v supply. Personally, I'd wire it up to an accessory 12v from the fusebox so that you have to switch the ignition on to position 1 to get it to work. That will save draining the battery if left connected and switched on. Are you sure it requires 12v? If there's a mains adapter with it just check to make sure the adapter says 12v output and that will tell you? The lines on your screen sounds like it either needs setting up (PAL not NTSC, region, etc), a gash disc or its broke.

Never had any problems with it and .......... bloody quick for a diesel! I'd buy another tomorrow if I could find a reasonably priced 2.2 ST TDCI. Luvverly motor!
