  1. Check the vacuum pipes going into the bulkhead Gregers ........... located centrally. Common fault with them.
  2. Nice one ...... and as well as McClaren being sacked the FA have decided to replace the 3 Lions with 3 Tampons ............ this is to represent the worst period that the team has ever had!
  3. Hi Allan ......... 29 and 4 kids already!? Thinking about it I was the same and in the end had 6 kids ........ 5 boys and a girl. It's really nice when you start to get rid of them and downsize to AN ST MONDEO 155BHP ......... I feel 18 again! Any problems with yours then have a search first and then post any questions you have. Looking forward to hearing from you.
  4. Swifty ....... sounds to me as though you are getting the overpressurisation problem and the system is going into limp mode. I don't think the cruise control is at fault but won't help as you tend to find an increase in speed demand will cause the system to try and get to that speed as fast as possible rather than a gradual acceleration increase; hence the economy will decrease when using the cruise control. In your situation I would try and get someone with VAG-COM to download fault codes to give you an indication of where the problem is. Hope this helps.
  5. impressed? ............ he said he's just bought it ...... anyway it's probably spent most of those eleven years at the menders ...... :) :)
  6. Don't think it's a Galaxy ..................
  7. Hi Gazza and welcome to the forum! ........ an electronics engineer and you think this will give you a headstart on THIS car ........ Well I teach electronics and believe me it wont! ............. :) :) Good luck matey!
  8. See if you have what it takes to be a pilot... Can you focus on the Parrot for 10 seconds ? parrot.bmp Nah! I didn't think so. Most Men will fail miserably.
  9. Its not your normal subwoofer with a huge cabinet and amp ...this is more of a metal ported type and at
  10. Ady ......... promise you will notice a big difference even with reletively cheap ones like I bought. Tell you what though, the best thing I bought was an Alpine Sub-woofer thingy that sat under the drivers seat. Wot a difference in bass response and the vibration ....... cor mate!!!!
  11. I can't understand how people make this mistake ......... I mean ...... i always have a quick taste before I stick the nozzel in the hole ..... ;)
  12. Sony XSF 1727's Ady ........... cracking and fit perfect! Wow ....... just had a look ..appears they've changed the model number but I paid
  13. Mrsyorkie ...sorry to hear about your mishap on the motorway. What is happening is that your car is going into "limp home mode" when you lose power shortly after the glow plug light starts to flash, although I can't understand why you are losing power steering. Did the engine cut out altogether? A well known problem with the Mk 3 Mondeo is an injector failure and this can be diagnosed using the OBD2 test socket. What I suspect the garage is doing is doing the onboard test using the ODOMETER reset trick while turning the ignition on. This won't show up the types of fault code needed to diagnose any "hard latched" problems, only faults at the time of the test. If they do a correct fault diagnosis using the Ford Diagnostic System (FDS) kit then it will pick the problem up. I would take it to a Ford dealer. Beware though, if it is an injector you're looking at around
  14. Nope .... still no complaints .... but now it's gone I now don't think about what may have gone wrong with it and how much it may have cost me..... This new beast is totally different and much more fun to drive ..hee hee.
  15. Sorry to hear that Kev ........ hey have you tried the Brandy, Blackcurrent and boiling water remedy? ........ works with me everytime!
  16. Duo Litro Birro bellissimo bambino ......................... welcome from me to aarturo and hope you enjoy your stay here. Mmmmmm you live in Italia and you use to come to this country for your Summer holidays ....... It must have been the attraction to our North Wales seaside resorts......... Look forward to your posts. ;)
  17. I'm sorry, and the problem is ? I can understand fahrenheit...60 degrees means something to me..nice comfortable type of temperature. 15.5 degrees celsius means didly squat...I have to mentally convert this to Fahrenheit to understand it. Leave it on Fahrenheit its easier for us old people to understand. Please note the correct spelling of Fahrenheit and the use of Celsius rather than centigrade....old and educated.....bloody youngsters... ;) Grumpy old fart.......................................... ;)
  18. I wonder what the 0.2 bit of a girl they're on about? ........... it can't be the gob cos thats at least 0.75 of a girl ......
  19. Ha Ha ha ........... well enjoy the new motor matey! Did you see what I did? ............ (sig)
  20. Sorry Saif ....disagree with you there. The newer versions of Norton Internet Security suite are outstanding and do not hog the computers memory as you suggest. I have used all the previously mentioned Anti-Virus software and having children that need some protection from the idiots out there, I can recommend Norton as their parental and privacy controls are excellent. Since installing it I have had no viruses, adware, spyware or tracking cookies on any of my machines. Oh and by the way, completely formatting the hard drive to get rid of viruses may have been the way you used to do it when you worked at PC World but that's the last resort these days. There are plenty of removal tools around that do the job and you don't lose any of your important files.
  21. Welcome back matey ......... how did it go? Just give us a shout if you need a lift ........ mmmmm ........ Still got me boy racer head on at the moment and perhaps not the best of ideas. Funny though .... I hoofed it round a large roundabout the other day and managed to make myself feel sick ....lol.
  22. Mine had a Witter fitted with twin electrics and I didn't have a problem with the rear parking sensors. They are semi intelligent and you can program the sensing distances using VAG-COM.
  23. Welcome from me to Tony ..... Never really into model aircraft but have seen some awesome models in the past. I remember seeing an Argosy where the guy had built a ramp and a conveyor which he used to drop a load of Red Devil actionmen on parachutes as it flew over ..... fantastic! Look forward to your posts. Regards Chris
  24. Cappucino ..... two sugars please!
