  9. The Mondeo will not fit but Audi A6 etc will
  10. Not quite the same but, i had four new tyres fitted about 3 months ago and the end of last week i had to remove the wheels from the car. Got the Ford wheel brace out but wouldnt shift them. Jumped up and down on the brace but it then slipped and rounded the brace off. Great i thought. Got my extra long wheel brace out that i bought from the
  11. You really dont have much luck with that car do you. I know it doesnt help you but I have the same model and year as you and not a mins trouble (touch wood) I had the pulley changed a few weeks ago and yesterday i changed the tensioner myself and could not believe how easy it was to do. Ford wanted 1 hours labour to do it, so done it myself and had the job done in 15 mins so goes to prove they are robbing gits.
  12. Thats possible. Ive heard stories about the lines in the screen causing problems with peoples eyes. I normally get lines in my eyes after tooooo much cider tho
  13. Not sure if they are all the same but on mine i can get a spanner (think it was 17mm or 19mm) on the bit that sticks up on top of the tensioner nd pulling it towards you will release the tension.
  14. Yup had my pulley changed a few weeks ago and been fine ever since. Like you Ford hadnt a clue wot i was on about. Reseting the service light is simple, there should be a post on here on how to do it. Cant really blame the tyres on the Gal. Had mine 15 months and one of the best cars ive had. Maybe ive been very lucky.
  15. No idea as to part numbers but dead easy to fit. Just a couple of spring loaded steel clips and away you go.
  16. Very clever but if you watch some of the symbols change each time. Try a few BEFORE clicking on the crystal ball and you will always get the same symbol. Good fun tho.
  17. Go on i dare you to take the dash board out
  18. How long ?????
  19. Not much horsepower in the new Galaxy
  20. I keep a set of water proof seat covers on my front seats all the time because of my job and i find them fab for hiding the screens when not in use . I have run the cables down the side of the seat near the arm rest so they are 90% out of sight. When the kids want to watch the screen i just lift the seat cover up over the screen and pull it back down when finished. Its not ideal for some people to have the covers fiited all the time but it works well for me. Next i want to fit the player into the center storage box on the dash rather than under the seat but time is the problem, and then take the power from the radio so it goes off with the ignition rather than having it in the ciggy lighter.
  21. Am i bovered NO If i wanted (or could afford) to run about in a 4 Ltr Range Rover then i would, what ever good old Gord says My wife has a Toyota Rav4 and whilst not a gas guzzling 4x4 i have no interest in what he does. If you work hard for lifes little luxuries then have them is what i say. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .Donations for the 4 ltr Range Rover go here please
  22. I also use the Bulldog QD33 myself and find it very good. Easy to put on even tho its a twin axle and feels very secure once fitted. Puy a small drop of oil on where the two halfs slide into each other by the lock, found it makes it a lot smoother.
  23. 6K wont get you the best MK2 in the world but it will get you a bloody good MK1
  24. Three generations of the same family
  25. This sort of topic always gets the fights going
