Petrol heads will say buy petrol as diesel heads will say buy diesel Me, well ive had both and now have the diesel and would never go back to petrol. Have to ask yourself how many miles you do and is the diesel worth the extra cost Should get a good un for 6K tho

Hi, i done my filter for the first time about 6 months ago and it really is an easy job if not a bit fiddly Just undo the retaining clip that holds the filter in place. there are small spring clips that hold the pipes on the filter (2 i think) and another spring clip that sits in the top of the filter housing, but when you take that one out be carfull not to loose the little rubber O ring inside. I had very little diesel run out of mine and as long as keep the filter upright when you remove it then it wont be a problem. Just have a good look at it before you start taking things apart. Once refitted the car cranked back up no problem. My description makes it sound harder than it actually is so give it a go.

Im sure one of you will know the answer to my small problem. Ive just sold my first item on E bay thro paypal. Ive requested the money to be transfered into my bank account which it says is complete. Is there anything else i have to do. It went thro on the 6th of this month so its had a few working days to clear but still no money in the bank account (as always) Someone did mention something about having to put a password in but havnt the fogiest what thats all about. Your going to have to remove the rear bumper as far as i know. I was lazy and had mine fitted. Are you going for the detachable version or the fixed. Sometimes theres a problem with the reverse parking sensors with the fixed type. Mine was fine to start with but after a while they started to pick up the towbar so i took the easy way out and covered the two centre sensors with black tape and they have worked fine since (about 9 months)

The water under the passenger seat will probably have come from the rear window washer pipe. There is a join in the pipe just there that has a habbit of parting. Loads of posts on here about it.

TIS is a CD you can buy off E Bay very cheap and is full of technical information about the Gal. Load it on the PC and away you go

Cheers just gave that a try and all a running free and smooth but i cant reach the very bottom one. Just checked the PAS fluid and is a bit low so going to get a bottle and top it up a bit Should this fault with the steering have hapened over a period of time because it happend instantly this morning.

UPDATE Oh know. Just gone out to check that the alternator pulley WAS ok and the bloody thing is solid in both directions. BALLS It was ok a week or so ago but not now. So a change of plan. Do i trust ford to have a look at the alternator.

Hi Dave G. I have done the liitle test with the turning of the alternator blades and they turn fine in one direction (clockwise i think) and i cant feel ant play or movement in the pully. IIRC mumble bee the cost of the tensioner was only

Well my belt tensioner seems to have finally cried enough today. Now have judering steering on tick over and a few funny noises from that direction. Have read most of the posts on here and it seems to point to the tensioner as it does jump around a fair bit. The tensioner moves about 10 - 15 mm in total at a rough guess i would say
