I used to have a MK1 v6 a while ago and to be honest i never saw much above 20mpg.

I was a very happy person. My wonderful girlfriend and I had been dating for over a year, and so we decided to get married. There was only one little thing bothering me...It was her beautiful younger sister. My prospective sister-in-law was twenty-two, wore very tight miniskirts, and generally was bra-less. She would regularly bend down when she was near me, and I always got more than a nice view. It had to be deliberate because she never did it when she was near anyone else. One day her 'little' sister called and asked me to come over to check the wedding invitations. She was alone when I arrived, and she whispered to me that she had feelings and desires for me that she couldn't overcome. She told me that she wanted me just once before I got married and committed my life to her sister. Well, I was in total shock, and couldn't say a word . She said, I'm going upstairs to my bedroom, and if you want one last wild fling, just come up and get me.' I was stunned and frozen in shock as I watched her go up the stairs. I stood there for a moment, then turned and made a beeline straight to the front door. I opened the door, and headed straight towards my car. Lo and behold, my entire future family was standing outside all clapping! With tears in his eyes, my father-in-law hugged me and said, 'We are very happy that you have passed our little test. We couldn't ask for a better man for our daughter. Welcome to the family!' And the moral of this story is: Always keep your condoms in your car.

I realise that being sat in a truck doing 56mph mile after mile after mile must bore the pants off most people (it would me), but when you see how some of them are being driven then im all for them being restricted. Ive lost count the amount of times ive looked in the rear view mirror only to see the front grill of some truck breaking its neck to get to the next drop in time. Yes i know that there are still some old fashioned lorry drivers left out there, the sort that wont run over the top of you rather than go around but as time goes by they seem to get less and less. This also goes for most drivers and that includes car drivers so please dont think that im only against lorry drivers. Whte van man Well thats another story.

I think the tuning market has a lot to answer for, in other words if it wasnt available you cant but it. I know it is big money being in this game but when i was young and drove too fast because i knew what i was doing and could handle the car, about the only mod you could get was a set of alloys to replace the standard steels (oh and a twin choke carb to replace the standard one) AAAAAHHHHH them were the days ;)

I know this may be a bit of a long shot but has onyone got a Road Angel. I decided to bugger about with mine and some how managed to turn the contrast for the screen down so now i cant see any display apart from the blue background. Not being able to see a display meens i cant find the menu to change the contrast back again. Ideally i need to know which buttons to press in which order and how many times (not much eh) That will teach me to leave it alone. Any help on this matter please guys & gals. Adrian.

buy the map of the region you want on SD card or to truely upgrade go buy a garmin or maggellan unit? with both these products you get better reliabillity and customer service! But mines not broke, i only want to upgrade it

Bought the GB version a few months ago as we NEVER travel abroad. Anyway were go to Eurodisney in a couple of months and was wondering if its poss to upgrade it to Euro mapping and if so how. Many thanks Adrian.

Thanks for the replies folks. My sister in law works for Brittany Ferries so can get a good discount on her bookings. We have booked to sail from Portsmouth which is a lot closer for me than Dover, and sail into Caen in France. Acording to Brittany Ferries website it then 145 miles to Paris. We sail overnight with a cabin and dock at about 6am ready to drive to Disney. We then have two days there with 1/2 another day to load the cars up with booze :lol: before returning home. Has anyone done this route ????

Im thinking of going over to see Mickey mouse in Paris. Having never been to France i know nothing about driving over there. Ive read loads of reports about how mad they all are but im not bothered about that, my question is, does it seem a very long way to drive. A quick calculation seems to work out at about 380 ish miles each way. Those of you who have driven there would you do it agan. I fancy jumping on the train but then i saw the prices. Ill second that. I had a TDCI Estate for a couple of years and it was fantastic. went like stink and cheep to run. Im sure you could get a second hand engine as its such a common lump but i would look for one with a good engine as theres so many to choose from.
