Just seen pictures of the new 2006 Galaxy. Go to www.ford.co.uk and look under Frankfurt Motor Show. Looks cool, wonder if they've got the bugs out of it. Probably introduced some new ones!!!!!
I've got a 2001 Ghia Auto, all the usual mod cons. I know this doesn't help but I've just left mine standing for three weeks and everything was fine, started first turn. There's been a bit of talk on the forum recently about flat batteries. Might be worth a search.
If the symptom is more of a wobble through the car it has normally turned out to be a dry cv joint. Obviously before going down this approach, do what others recommend and check tyres, balancing etc.
My cruise control seems to be working ok. The only way I can appear to disable it temporarily is by operating the brake pedal, is there another way? If I switch it off at the stalk I have to reset the cruise speed again. Other cars I have driven can switch the cruise on and off whilst maintaining the settings.
A new model, apparently based on the Mondeo, is due out next year. I don't know any more details but I'm wondering if it's going to be as big a car as now. I hope it's not a large estate car, if you know what I mean.
Thats odd. My side lights are both single and double filament (4 bulbs). Check the contacts in the larger bulb holder to see if there are two. If there are it should be a double filament.
Check the brake light bulbs as they are double filament. Check carefully to see if one filament has have blown and then bridged across to the other filament. This can cause the lighting and brake light circuits to work together at the same time. I had this on a Honda once, put the lights on and the brake lights came on as well. With the lights off, every time I operated the brakes all the lights would come on.
Pour some water around the rim of the tyre, where it seats on the rim to make sure the bead of the tyre has sealed correctly. Check inner and outer rim. You could also pour water around the valve. Any signs of bubbles indicates a leak. Sometimes after a puncture the bead or rim of the tyre gets damaged and doesn't seal properly. Hope this helps.
