  1. I think these codes relate to a turbo problem. Check all the hoses for loose connections.
  2. I've found more codes now. This is really confusing.
  3. I have just installed Elsa Win. I understand I have to select VW Sharan, but what codes do I select from the following:- Model 7M6, 7M8, 7M9 Gear FPE, FUX These fields have to be selected to enter the program. I have a 2005 Ford Galaxy Ghia 1.9TDI 130PS. Thanks for any responses.
  4. I've read on the forum that the gearbox ecu wiring can sometimes chaf on things and cause electrical problems so worth a check. I think the ecu is near the battery, perhaps someone may offer more on this.
  5. I'm assuming you have a MK1 Gal, my apologies if I'm wrong. Lot's of people with MK1 Gals all experience difficulty getting VAG Com to talk to the aux heater, therefore, it's not necessarily something wrong with yours. It seems the only people who can access it is the dealers :D
  6. I've used the warranty they offer with no problems. It is not an extension of a Ford Direct warranty but still works ok. After 40k then only major items are covered.
  7. I still believe it's CV joints.
  8. I forgot, the warranty is for 12 months or 12,000 miles, which ever is the sooner.
  9. Ford dealers do a WAS Warranty for vehicles up to 10 years. Vehicles up to 40k have most things covered but after that it's just main items. This warranty normally costs
  10. By what I've read on the forum it could be gear selector cables, one may have come off. Not sure where to check, do a search for the topic (increase your search to over 30 days).
  11. Dry CV joints at a guess.
  12. If your brake pedal feels hard it sounds like the servo is not working. Check for leaks in the vacuum pipe to the servo.
  13. Please can someone supply a picture as to where the scuttles are. I've read a lot about them and I think I know where they are
  14. It prevents hot spots occuring in the engine during cool down.
  15. Rear Washer. You are looking for the water pipe that runs along the side of the passenger footwell. I think near the pillar behind the trim is a connector that is prone to coming apart, hence you wash the inside of the car not the back screen
  16. As mentioned for parking sensors, check for water in the passenger footwell. If there is do a search for rear washer leaking, blocked scuttles, etc. The radio volume going up and down is normal, done by sensor. Wipers, haven't a clue. Should all be covered by warranty if under 3 years/60,000 miles.
  17. You could always try disconnecting the unit or battery for a few minutes to see if it resets itself. May have just become corrupt.
  18. Don't forget, automatics add a lot to the g/km so check your vehicle registration document for details and the go here http://www.dvla.gov.uk/vehicles/taxation.htm
  19. Just checked my son's car.................
  20. Just realised from the link above that the wife's Focus is going to be
  21. I have a 130PS PD Diesel and according to my registration document it's rated a 170g/km. Amazingly the wife's Focus 1.6 Petrol Auto is 192g/km, phew
  22. Check the engine roll restrictor. Grab hold of the engine and see if the engine rocks backwards and forwards. Common fault and not that expensive.
  23. Just found it on mine. Lift the bonnet. As you look at it, top left had side, down the hole near the bonnet hinge. Really good place to put it!!!
  24. It could be glow plugs. especially on cold mornings. As far as I know the glow plugs assist the running of the engine when it's cold, not only the starting of the engine. When the engine warms the glow plugs are not used. You watch.........someone will correct me.
