  1. A few things affect MPG as we all know..: Is your right foot made of lead? Are your tyres at the correct Psi? ( always check when tyres are cold ) Is the car serviced regualy? Do you brake sharply? Accelerate hard? Are your journeys stop and go? Do you make a lot of short journeys like school runs where the car is switched on and off after a short space of time? All these and propbably more contribute to lower MPG.
  2. Am pleased for you, and glad we could help. ;)
  3. can i ask, does view new posts work for anyone? as according to my profile, i was last seen on the 23rd Feb ;)
  4. right, there is a problem with some members not being able to post/reply or start topics. if you are one of these peeps then please pm me and tell me. the reason i believe is because when you are not on the forum, you show as last active on the 23rd Feb!!, But i need to know who this affects, if you keep getting flood control errors useing the search/trying to start a topic/replying to a topic, then please, PM me. ok, wrong on the reason i thought why, but please let me know if you are having problems. i already know that the view new posts isnt working right now.
  5. Yet another common fault maybe?? ;)

  8. couldnt find the site i used, have found these though? http://www.autobreakers.co.uk/ just had a quick look, they do have a few mondeos breaking, a 2004 and a 2002 inc. Not sure what year yours is. but heck, it looks a damn good site for anyone.
  9. im bad at where places are ;) ill try and find the peeps i used, as they use breakers all over the place. and if they find one with what you need, its 24 hour delivery.
  10. your welcome, the glass when you take it out, has to be turned almost sideways in the door and brought up and out through the outside of the door, it isnt a rectangular piece of glass, its a pain in the rear.and you need every mm to get it in and out, with the strip in place, it is nigh on impossible.you will see if you take the door card off, exactly how big it is and its shape. I just dont want you to make the same mistakes that i did. ;)
  11. I know for sure that the glass in the rear passenger doors, has to come out at an angle, and go back in the same way.because of the size of them, it is very difficult to try and fit the glass with all the strips in place.you have to take the glass off the brackets which hold it in place to the runners anddrop the window in the door as far as you can, there is a metal lip inside the door you can rest the glass on.Believe me, ive done this job and i and a ford mechanic could not fit the glass AFTER fitting the strips, you must leave the glass in the door.the window is a lot bigger than you realise.Other models may be different as to how they fit them.
  12. I hope you find what you need.If i can help in any way, then please let me know. No idea where you are but it rings a bell, im about 30/45 mins away from Lincoln ( depending on speed and road clearance :23:)

  22. The Haynes doesnt cover the MKII or the MKIII Galaxys unfortunately. as for the vapour barrier, no idea, one of my doors didnt even have it on so thats how i could tell work had been done on it before. Double sided sticky tape maybe? ( not joking either as the rear number plate on the gal was stuck on with the stuff, called a quick fix  )
