  1. Have a look at... http://www.fordgalaxy.org.uk/ford/index.ph...pressure+switch This wasn't my problem in the end (I had a corroded and leaking receiver/dryer), but might be your problem?
  2. Have you shot that bear yet, Dave-G?
  3. It could also be a damp cabin filter, caused by blocked scuttle drains... Do a quick search - this has been a very common thread.
  4. 10:45pm... I guess not... Hope you're having fun and that the rain has stopped.
  5. Hey Seat Kid! Just a thought... Did you fit a 'carbon odour filter'? When I replaced a standard white coloured cabin filter with the grey coloured 'odour ' filter, I found that the odour filter is thicker. I couldn't get the odour filter and frame assembly into position at all. The only way I could get it fitted was to feed both parts in separately and assemble them directly over the air inlet manifold. Did you fit the grey one or the white one? Cheers.
  6. Yo! Cool pic!!! Are you using the "Wireless Internet Hotspot"??? Does this mean the happy campers will be on Live Chat later???? (Take my advice. The rain feels quite nice if you are suitably lubricated.) Edit - I assume, from L to R: Teresa's son, Teresa and Mof4.
  7. As no one has answered you so far... Are they petrol or diesel? If both are diesel, the more powerful one will be better. If either is petrol, then the diesel one will be better (even if it is the lower powered one), as it has a turbo, and lots of low end 'grunt'. Or am I getting the wrong end of the stick here? Is this what you were asking?
  8. Wait until your tyres wear a bit... The reduced diameter will slow Tom down a bit.
  9. I haven't met her, but you'll have her in your sights tomorrow?
  10. Cave lith later? Or... Heil, V-CAT!
  11. Not me, I don't want to be the butt of her jokes.
  12. Leather great with kids! Easy to clean, difficult to damage. (Mind you, depends on how messy your kids are... :) )
  13. Hi Mazz, To confirm, 2.3 is a chain, not a belt. Needs regular oil changes if you do a lot of hanging around - short journeys in the cold, etc. Just MHO. It does look like a Ghia, however, I looked at some far east imports and the spec. is blurry to say the least. Don't let the import business put you off - are you in Ireland? Then you won't mind far east imports, as I know Ireland is full of them! The far east ones sometimes have some wierd colour schemes - bumpers a different colour to the bodywork, and two tone interiors. When you've had a good look at the site, and the reliability issues, you might change your mind about having a Galaxy as a taxi. :) Cheers,
  14. I have a Mk2 Ghia, which has the multi size sticker, and is fitted with alloys and 215/55 R16 'reinforced' tyres. I know this isn't what you asked for, but hope this helps. :)
  15. L'Hat Chive anyone?
  16. Divide by 1.39 :16:
  17. This is a private sale, yes? Good price, but get a warranty.
  18. Thanks JB. Perfect answer - who need Nik??!!. Personally I've only seen this when there was another source of moisture. On the 'plane this is caused by condensation on the inside of the air pack ducts. OP could check for wet cabin filter, blocked scuttle drains?
  19. He needs something to stop that bear chasing him.
  20. Try the Great Trade Centre in Wembley, London. http://www.cargiant.co.uk/ Test drives possible. Prices are very good, cars usually very good (but Caveat Emptor). (Live Chat seems to start up around midnight, so you should have seen *someone*! I was asleep, sorry...)
  21. Swedish. Part of the assembly instuctions. Needs a licence?
  22. My first Ford. I'll have another Ford - another Galaxy even!
  23. Message to moderators.... Can we put this in the FAQ? Useful stuff...
  24. If this doesn't work, open the bonnet, close it and try again..... And if that doesn't work, open all four passenger doors, tune the radio to Radio 1, turn up the volume, open the bonnet, rest a cup of tea on the engine, leave an untraviolet leak detector tool on the scuttle cover, close the bonnet, drive car around the front and present the owner with a bill for re-gassing the air-con...
