The car is a Ghia X they were available on all MK1 galaxys although quite rare on the 2.0l I would negotiate the price based on the aircon not working could be expensive to repair and the ABS being required for an MOT.....doesn't matter if it works or not....waste of space in my opinion. This has no effect on the brakes being soft...quite normal.....remember that ABS stands for Anti-Lock Braking System.....stops the wheels locking....has no other effect on the braking system. Probably just a dodgy sensor.

Only if there is a load of air in it.........but the brakes would feel spongy and performance would be rubbish

20psi although far from ideal is not a worry for a galaxy spare tyre.....it will get you home no problem...cost you a bit on performance and fuel economy. Although I would only recommend fitting it to the rear wheels.....keep the good ones on the front. More worrying is the state of the spare tyre.........especially any side wall damage. Anyone know how long a tyre should be kept as an unused spare before it the rubber starts to decay ?
