  5. evning all i have just come home now with cool air how lovely it was. i was even in a good mood. so if you have a rotton pipe from the dryer that runs around the bulkhead or even the fat one from the compressor to the bulkhead never fear. both mine had holes. i got some aircon pipe from autokool he has a website but i lost it i cut out the rot and siliconed and put on 6 clamps each side overkill a bit, then got the man in the van to check it, it was vaccuumed out and tested for whatever else he does shove the gas in and non working for 4 years aircon is up and giving it to me cold. oh joy what joy. maybe all will go pop soon but i shall revell in the cool air for now. so all not lost for

  9. hi it seems different air con men have different ideas, mine said not to use fuel type pipe as the clips wont hold thegas and the gas willl eat the pipe also i found on the web someone selling proper air con tubing that has a special lining to resist the gas, he also said it needs to be ferulled and clamped on, i spoke to mend a hose
  10. spoke to pitek siad they dont have any hose that is resistant to the gas .if i get some copper will that weld ok to the ali pipe ?
  11. hi all, i know this is clutching at straws, but you have to try ,, the small diameter airconpipe that runs from the dryer round the inner wing and into the bulkheadfixing with the fatter pipe, of course its rotted under the car near the dryer. new pipe

  17. hi all asked this b4 when seatkid was unknown whereabouts, but now if hes back ,can you shed some light. 97 9ohp galaxy from looking at your vacuum pipes diagram, i have a bit different. on the early model the turbo boost solenoid is a square metal box fitted next to the egr solenoid. it seems to be piped differently to the wifes 98 110tdi that has a turbo solenoid vwey similar to the egr one. i think my piping is wrong as i dont feel any boost. the bi intercooler pipe that runs up the front of the engine , on it is a take off a small vac pipe this on my engine dissapears to somewhere down past the brake servo, cant see where, the other pipes on the solenoid are, one to the air cleaner box and 2 down to the turbo. i have no movement of the actuater rod on start up and it seems very stiff, he car revs well up to the red line in all gears but just dont have any oooomph or are all the 90hp like this, have swopped maf had code reads no faults found. top speed is about 90mph downhill on the mway. any ideas on early 90hp vacuum piping or can anyone with a similar model have a look on theres for me. to check the pipe it comes from the intercooler pipe comes out from the side in line with the battery on the right to where it goes or should it be connected to the turbo boost on all models/ thanks
  18. had the wifes fitted here in leeds at

  23. hi mm thanks for reply, dont know when it was changed ! bad i know must be a few years. would that cause the heavyness ? or is it a sign of wear on the bearing ? tha ks
  24. hi all, the wifes 110 tdi 98 year 130,000 seems to have quite a heavy clutch compared to my 90 on a 97 year with similar miles. ive notived with some cable clutches the higher the miles the heavier they get but the hydrulic one on the gal i wouldnt have thought that would get heavy with age. any one any ideas , clutch dont slip or do any noises either just feels like a sports car or racing clutch. its the original one as well. My Webshop, discount for forum members
