Yes, Happy Birthday Ivor - as the saying goes - You're only as old as the Woman you feel!!
-
Sorry to disabuse you TIstar - but once you have removed the intermediate shaft - just allen bolts - to remove the female splined shaft all you need is a spline type tool to remove a small screw- then it just pulls out - you don't even lose the gearbox oil. It is very simple indeed . Unless there is any other damage I would not see any need to remove the gearbox. The new part comes with all necessary seals etc - they are all fitted you just pudh in the new one do up the screw and re assemble!

53 1.9tdi Auto - Climate Display Flashing.
Bigjeeze replied to Herts Hammer's topic in Trainee member help
The unit in the back is an evaporator with fans. This is then routed up to the roof vents via flat tubing in the rear pillar. It sounds like you have no gas. The trouble is trying to find a fault always costs you money. It would be a farily cheap option to buy a filler cylinder from Halfords (one with dye in) - That way you will see if you have a minor leak or a massive one. When I had a leak I took it to a specialsit who diagnosed condenser - He was wrong it was a broken pipe. It's worth paying a few quid to get an opinion - you can then make your mind up as to how you want to proceed. -
That's probably a bit too subtle for me!!

If , for a moment, we ignore the reliability thing - I for one much prefer an auto - Try sitting on the M25 for 4 hours with your foot on the clutch. Auto is more relaxing, and lets face it - you don't buy a Galaxy for the performance - it is a practical vehicle bought for largely practical reasons. I had an auto Gal for 2 years and did 86,000 miles with no faults at all (99 Model) and the ONLY reason I chose my current one was that the auto was into the next Tax bracket and cost more to run. I would always prefer an auto.

A Couple Of Questions As Such..

He may have thought your driving was erratic and so he was checking you were on the ball. Frankly I don't think it is worth complaining as he did nothing legally wrong and you have no reliable or independant witnessess. I think BK is right you will draw down the wrath of the coppers for no result. -
The Eu Want To Know How Many Sexual Partners Women Have Had!

I would like to hear this from the other side. UKIP MEP's are a bit like the Daily Mail, Express, Sun and Mirror - full of crap. I wish we had a truth commision in this country where newspapers could be compelled to report only the facts with no spin and have to justify any story. Likewise when it is proven false they should be made to give the retraction as much emphasis as the original fabrication. -

WOMAN'S DIARY: Wednesday 21st November. Saw him in the evening and he was acting really strangely. I had been shopping in the afternoon with the girls and I did turn up a bit late so thought it might be that. The bar was really crowded and loud so I suggested we go somewhere quieter to talk. He was still very subdued and distracted so I suggested we go somewhere nice to eat. All through dinner he just didn't seem himself; he hardly laughed and didn't seem to be paying any attention to me or to what I was saying. I just knew that something was wrong. He dropped me back home and I wondered if he was going to come in; he hesitated but followed. I asked him again if there was something the matter but he just half shook his head and turned the television on. After about 10 minutes of silence, I said I was going upstairs to bed. I put my arms around him and told him that I loved him deeply. He just gave a sigh and a sad sort of smile. He didn't follow me up but later he did, and I was surprised when we made love. He still seemed distant and a bit cold, and I started to think that he was going to leave me and that he had found someone else. I cried myself to sleep. MAN'S DIARY: Wednesday 21st November England lost. Gutted. Got a shag though

What is there to worry about? All the "wrong" kind of people in the UK work for the Government - they're the only employer that doesn't check their immigration status or qualifications - they just ask them if they are foreign - and then give them the job! They already have access to all our records and e mail them home - from Gov computers!!

The liturgy of baptism in the Catholic, Eastern Orthodox, Lutheran, Anglican, and Methodist traditions makes clear reference to baptism as not only a symbolic burial and resurrection, but an actual supernatural transformation, one that draws parallels to the experience of Noah and the passage of the Israelites through the Red Sea divided by Moses. Thus baptism is literally and symbolically not only cleansing, but also dying and rising again with Christ. Catholics believe that baptism is necessary for the cleansing of the taint of original sin, and for that reason infant baptism is a common practice. The Eastern Churches (Eastern Orthodox Church and Oriental Orthodoxy) also baptize infants on the basis of texts such as Matthew 19:14, which are interpreted as supporting full Church membership for children, and so baptism is immediately followed by Chrismation and Communion at the next Divine Liturgy regardless of age. Orthodox likewise believe that baptism removes what they call the ancestral sin of Adam.[35] Anglicans believe that Baptism is also the entry into the Church and therefore allows them access to all rights and responsibilities as full members, including the privilege to receive Holy Communion. Most Anglicans agree that it also cleanses the taint of what in the West is called original sin, in the East ancestral sin.

It appears that you cannot buy the sliding bolt thingy for the calliper you have to buy the complete holder - at a mere

. I am not assuming I am right I know I am. No I did not get married in a church. I don't actually have any kids ( that I know of ) but yes I would have them baptised as I regard this as a formal naming ceremony no other practical option exists. I will have a funeral ( rememberance ) service, i do not see this as being religious. No I do not believe in burial and even if I went insane and beciame religious I would still not be vain enough to do this. I was baptised ( Presbytarian ) which probably moves me even further up the C of E's Hit list. Explain how you know you are right? Baptism is nothing to do with naming - it is a wholly religious ceremony and particular to the religion in whose church it is performed. If you don't believe in God or religion why have a funeral service - surely a wake or party would be more apropriate? I agree with you on burial - I couldn't give a monkeys what happens to the body. DOn't worry about being on a hit list - no one would care enough!

Noticed some nasty graunching noises yesterday - Had a quick look at the discs via the wheels but couldn't see anything. Took off the wheel and then realised that the inner pad was way down on the metal whilst the outer had plenty of meat. Anyway once I removed the calliper I found the sliding bolt had seized thus holding the calliper ont the disc. Took off the calliper bracket but couldn't free the bolt - Eventually had to drill the thing out. I now can't put the brakes back together until I get a new sliding bolt thingy. ( I had new discs & pads in stock ready). I havent' taken off the offside ones yet s I may have the same issue there. Looks like lots of coppa slip for me.

I dismiss it because I don't believe in the existence of a supreme being. People who do are either immature and still need a mother/father figure to cling on to or they are losers who just need someone to take the blame for their failings in life rather than themselves. So again I say - Because you either believe or not doesn't make it true or false - You are assuming you are right - They are assuming they are right. I am always amused at how many people get religion when the chips are down - God help us, Jesus Lord etc - Did you get married in a church? Are your children baptised? will you have a funeral service and be buried in consecrated ground? If you have to say Yes to any of those things that makes you as big a hypocrite as the believers you so readily denigrate. I have never been baptised - I am of no religious persuasion - but I do believe in God. I follow no religious leaders and make up my own mind.

Yet Another Car Insurance Thread.

It's not about Tax- Yes the tax is excessive and Yes it has added an extra 2p per litre recently - but these rises are about the oil companies cashing in big time on the current price of oil. The fuel we are using currently is somewhat over 2 years old - It isn't oil that was drilled and pumped at current prices - it was obtained when prices were at a normal level - So what it does mean is that the Oil companies are going to make an absolute fortune as they are collecting around 10-15p per litre extra with no extra cost. Witness Sheel & BP's profits last year whne this situation occured the year before. The chancellor is maing lots of extra money too - but it's the oil companies. I would think that this protest needs to be ion the order fo 3-5 days to have any effect. Please note the mail was originated in the US - We don't have anything like 300m people in the UK (well maybe illegals)

Don't get the two confused - Religion and the existence of a Supreme being. Religions mostly agree that there is a Supreme being or God - What they disagree on is how he /she/it wants you to live your life . You may not beleive but there are some 900m people that do. Don't dismiss it just because it doesn't work for you.

Probably seen a cockatoo!

Firstly - provided religious beliefs don't harm anyone else or someone who isn't old enough to make an informed decision then they are fine and should be respected. If they would rather die than take blood then so be it - Only don't be upset if a court stops you doing that to a child or minor because the they would be failing in their duty of care. As for a recycling machine - that's irrelevant - there are no guarantees with medicine - you can't save all patients and you can't be equipped for every single possible situation - besides the onus here should be laid squarely at the feet of the believers in question. Nothing comes for free - everything including life must be paid for.

Yes there is a drain. If you have basic Air Con then it is behind the engine and central to the car. If you have the dual air con then there are two - one in the front and the second under the offside rear wheel arch.

A boss wondered why one of his most valued employees had not phoned in sick one day. Having an urgent problem with one of the main computers, he dialed the employee's home phone number and was greeted with a child's whisper. " Hello ? " "Is your daddy home?" he asked. " Yes ," whispered the small voice. May I talk with him?" The child whispered, "No ." Surprised and wanting to talk with an adult, the boss asked, "Is your Mommy there?" " Yes ." "May I talk with her?" Again the small voice whispered, "No ." Hoping there was somebody with whom he could leave a message, the boss asked, "Is there anybody else there?" " Yes ," whispered the child, " a policeman ". Wondering what a cop would be doing at his employee's home, the boss asked, "May I speak with the policeman?" " No, he's busy ", whispered the child. "Busy doing what?" " Talking to Daddy and Mommy and the Fireman ," came the whispered answer. Growing more worried as he heard a loud noise in the background through the earpiece on the phone, the boss asked, "What is that noise?" " A helicopter " answered the whispering voice. "What is going on there?" demanded the boss, now truly apprehensive. Again, whispering, the child answered, " The search team just landed a helicopter ." Alarmed, concerned and a little frustrated the boss asked, "What are they searching for?" Still whispering, the young voice replied with a muffled giggle... " ME
