  1. So you are in fact confirming that they are a bunch of tossers?
  2. Is that a thin thong?
  3. So - Has anyone attempted to buy the necessary components for a Galaxy HID system as a retro fit? IE the real and actual Ford/Seat?VW HID lights as factory fitted - Any idea of the costs involved?
  4. I'm interested to know where they get their figure of 3 million new houses required from. As far as I can see there are literally thousands empty .
  5. Calm down Maz....don't let the young whippersnapper get you down. Youve probably got knickers older than him.... :o Bugger..you quoted me....I have deleted my post and appologise for it. By the way...who says i wear em. :o Well if you don't then I dread to think what it is you're getting in a twist!!! :o
  6. Tips for Handling Telemarketers Three Little Words That Work!! (1)The three little words are: "Hold on, please..." Saying this, while putting down your phone and walking off (instead of hanging-up immediately) would make each telemarketing call so much more time-consuming that boiler room sales would grind to a halt. Then when you eventually hear the phone company's "beep-beep-beep" tone, you know it's time to go back and hang up your handset, which has efficiently completed its task. These three little words will help eliminate telephone soliciting. (2) Do you ever get those annoying phone calls with no one on the other end? This is a telemarketing technique where a machine makes phone calls and records the time of day when a person answers the phone. This technique is used to determine the best time of day for a "real" sales person to call back and get someone at home. What you can do after answering, if you notice there is no one there, is to immediately start hitting your # button on the phone, 6 or 7 times, as quickly as possible. This confuses the machine that dialed the call and it kicks your number out of their system. Gosh, what a shame not to have your name in their system any longer!!! (3) Junk Mail Help: When you get "ads" enclosed with your phone or utility bill, return these "ads" with your payment. Let the sending companies throw their own junk mail away. When you get those "pre-approved" letters in the mail for everything from credit cards to 2nd mortgages and similar type junk, do not throw away the return envelope. Most of these come with postage-paid return envelopes, right? It costs them more than the regular 32p postage "IF" and when they receive them back. It costs them nothing if you throw them away! The postage was around 30p before the last increase and it is according to the weight. In that case, why not get rid of some of your other junk mail and put it in these cool little, postage-paid return envelopes. Send an ad for your local carpet cleaner to American Express. Send a pizza coupon to Barclays. If you didn't get anything else that day, then just send them their blank application back! If you want to remain anonymous, just make sure your name isn't on anything you send them. You can even send the envelope back empty if you want to just to keep them guessing! It still costs them 32p The banks and credit card companies are currently getting a lot of their own junk back in the mail, but folks, we need to OVERWHELM them. Let's let them know what it's like to get lots of junk mail, and best of all they're paying for it...Twice! Let's help keep our postal service busy since they are saying that e-mail is cutting into their business profits, and that's why they need to increase postage costs again. You get the idea! If enough people follow these tips, it will work. THIS JUST MIGHT BE ONE E-MAIL THAT YOU WILL WANT TO FORWARD TO YOUR FRIENDS!
  7. What do you think about: Houses being built - Do we need them ? Prices - What should we do?
  8. Did you ever wonder how they get the Badger hair for men's shaving brushes? Well that's what mumof4 does all day (when she's not on here) She sits and shaves badgers nadgers to make shaving brushes. She also works part time as a Mouse Gelder - using her teeth. Don't upset her though - I hear she's now training to be the person who puts the Y into your Y fronts! She could do you some damage with her Singer!! Whatta girl!!!
  9. Don't get yourself too worked up - This is not a failing bank - The Bank of England does not lend where it can't get our money back. What has happened here is that NR have borrowed money to lend out and make a margin on - Because of the financial jitters it nowcan't find enough to service the promises it has made - this is a cash flow problem not a failure It will get well soon.
  10. I agree totally - it's a no brainer!!
  11. "She" like all females needs the occasional thrashing - Keeps em keen!!
  12. Nothing wrong with a good dose of Pox!! It's what makes the world go round!!
  13. Happy Birthday John - Now treat yourself and buy another Galaxy!!!
  14. Gregers looks really nice in that pink nighty and fulffy slippers (oops I forgot I am supposed to lie!!)
  15. Maz has so many children that the "old woman who lived in a shoe" was evicted to make way for her. She also was the one who emptied Old Mother Hubbards cupboard. It's not safe to leave her alone!!
  16. That sounds like the problem I had before my splines went west!!
  17. Belated Happy Birthday Gregers!!
  18. I'm with Sk on this one - House prices are stupidly high - and there are too many people making a fortune with no thought for the future- Bring on the crash!!
  19. Glen.....you've been Mazbo'd!! ;)
  20. I understand from SK's piece that after market HIDs are now not legal - but if they were fitted as an option to the Galaxy range and there is no difference in the headlamp reflector or lens/glass then surely there should be no problem?
  21. Check the brake light switch - sounds daft but it really does cause a lod of problems. Also check the fluid level - I'm not sure whether there is a separate light for that. Worth a go anyway!
  22. It is almost impossible nowadays to keep an average speed up to the speed limit. I did 230 miles today at an average speed of 46mph - even including around 200 miles of motorway - the simple fact is average speeds are significantly lower than you think and 23mph around town is probably quite fast - depending on the journey time of course! Send the man his Pizza!!
  23. No they didn't - But the good news is I decided to use the last of my Halfords top up stuff in a last ditch attempt to get the thing to work - and eureka it's working!! I was in London today - outside was 26c and I was as cool as a cucumber (that had been kept in a cold fridge). I checked the vent temperature - My Mrs' MK1 - 7.5c Mine 11c - Not perfect but at least so far it appears to be maintaining it's cool!!!
