  1. no dash removal just the lower glove box
  2. the small triangular window between the front screen and the door post, or the very rear opening window
  3. there you go yet again getting our hopes up!
  4. could be why the central locking doesnt work!
  5. lets narrow it down shall we? how many airbags do you have? 1? then the steering wheel airbag is at fault! 2? then unless you've messed around with the wireing behind the dash? I'd recon on the steering wheel airbag being at fault! more? then unless you've you've messed around with the wireing behind the dash or under the seats? I'd recon on the steering wheel airbag being at fault! and to help you narrow down the problem? when you turn the steering wheel can you hear any funny noises from the top of the steering column area? clicking, rubbing noises? clock spring springs to mind if you try and use the search engine it's possible you may find the answer to your problem?
  6. here we go made easy for you......
  7. no you dont have to change anythink else unless you want to? Steve did did it to be different the Sharan bonnet/grill is a different shape as is the Alhambra's hence the need to swap if you swap the grills etc
  8. no idea I was just looking through the chevy/vauxhall website looking at the captiva/antara as I'm looking for something to replace the VR with and found a question and answer section this one struck me as a totally stupid reason for the decreased servicel interval! considering they are the same vehicle and will be serviced by the same people using the same parts!
  9. the official answer is... , the recommended replacement interval for the pollen filter is 10,000 miles, which explains why we recommend the Captiva is serviced at 10,000 miles.
  10. nope! but then again like I give a F'k what most of these people think of me ;)
  11. she was popping out to tesco's, you havent heard about her map reading skills then?
  12. heres a good one two vehicle manufactured in the same factory, same spec, engines etc just a few bits of trim and a name badge seperate them, both sold and serviced by the same dealer network! now one has a 10,000 mile service interval the other 20,000 why? the cars in question are the Vauxhal Antara and the chevy Captiva
  13. Crap the new year was starting to look good and you had to go and ruin it! hopefully he opened his mouth to often and someone took offence to it? well we all live in hope?
  14. nah go for the double and really offend someone! if you dont I will
  15. No! a tiptronic gear box is an auto box that has a manual overide selection system, Fords version of this is called select shift transmision, like the jaguar J box, or as in a smart car without the paddle shift, you select the gears by pushing the gear stick back and forth to up or down shift, this system allows manual sequential selection of the gears, in your case skippy you have a bog standard auto with kick down and possible sports mode selected by the way you drive as the box is semi intelegent suposedly?
  16. take a look for yourself... http://www.vagcat.com/p/B162/711300.png
  17. 12v VR6 174bhp, 24v VR6 200bhp the 12v has remained the same engine through out it's life in the galaxy as has the 24v, both capable of scareing a few hot hatches and hitting way above the legal speed limit! where permitted! just ask my eldest who grassed me up to her mother about me hitting 138mph+ (gps) :P it's not known for being quick off the mark as are none of the range really, it's a brick but get it up to cruiseing speed and watch the little cars fade into the background along with the tdi plastic shed pullers :D but! if yours if an auto? then you wont get rocket ship performance! the auto box sucks power and the enjoyment out driveing :P as for upping the performance? free flow filter, exhaust and manifold, ported head, VSR/Shrick Manifold and for real umph! a turbo or supercharger are the way to go along with a cc increase, all available from most good Vw tuners at a great loss to your pocket! so either live with it or buy something else to play in at the week end :D
  18. well hope you sanded that broom stick down properly this time? as the vet said it was the last time he'd remove the splinters from your arse for free after your last crash landing
  19. yes all the seats have the same removal mech, and as for the pic  you'll be lucky to get a good nights kip in one of them

  21. I'm not sure either? just looked at his profile and I cant see if he has an auto or manual? so he may have the use of both his legs? get off your arse and go take a look you lazy ........ ....... ....... oh and happy new year
  22. in most case you wont be taking some out if you allow the excess fluid out via the bleed nipple and not back up through the valve block....you will most probably be topping it up!
  23. easy option go buy a tdi if your that desperate for one? the work involved would be way to much depending on what engine you get? or just buy a nail and swap over the good bits from your to build it up
  24. more like top it up! are you encourageing the back flushing of fluid from the calipers back into the reservoir via the valve block?
  25. your legs stopped working?
