yes IIRC it's possible to use a none oe head unit and still keep the oe changer unit

you cand stick a non oe unit in and still run the multichanger! but if you have the remote stalk controller your limited to what you use as there doesnt seem to many adapter cables available?

just about, the 1.8t isnt available in the galaxy and the Ford 2.0 and 2.3 petrol not available in the sharan or bammer

depends on what models in there? if it's a standard Ford unit a Uk spec replacement should drop right in and work the multi changer?

Both the mk1 and 2 have the same mountings, the inferior mk3 has fold flat seating the one true sign of a mpv pretender :D and hence the lower load carrying and towing limit :ph34r:

the idea was to remove the scuttle at the top of the fire wall and then use a manifold to allow us to lift the carbs up and into this area! and if needed to remove and rebuild the firewall to give clearance! but it was his idea not mine and as he has already killed three mk1's :( with his dumb ideas he's not getting his hands on my car! for now the 2.0ltr will suit my needs! till the VR6 bug bite me again :lol:

we were looking at 145/150 with a standard head and a hot cam! the last owner of the lump had around that out it! I'm going to keep the old MFI system and junk the EFI system that way I can use the oe loom instead of cutting'n'shuting the EFI loom into the existing, so I'm not sure of what hp it will be kicking out? my mate has this great idea of running it on carbs! but as he's not paying for them he can keep his ideas to himself :lol:

nice! mines sitting on the driveway awaiting to be done :( the 2.0ltr 8v is stripped and awaiting a top end rebuild, once thats done the front end will be pulled apart and cleaned up ready for the new lump, then I want to remove and clean up the rear beam, all this is reliant on the mrs clearing her crap out of MY garage in the new year so I can start she's moaning about my golf being stuck on the driveway but it's her junk in MY garage thats keeping it there :lol: I have the offer of space in a mates workshop but I know that if I take iit, I'll never get it done! out of sight out of mind

the fan type spray jets? if so you have probably been using non approved washer fluid! and thats does them no good!
