  1. first off John just noticed your location! you have my condolances  I try not to visit MK unless I really have to! and now back to the water ingress problem! check the trim around the lower edge of the windscreen this is a known cause of water ingress problems due the locating holes this trim panel has! it has been known for people to seal these holes with a dab of mastic before now and check the condition of the seal around the screen? has it been replaced at all? and sealed badly? just had two screens replaced on my T5 and both leaked due to installer errors!
  2. nah I swapped it for a Grand Cherokee  decided that we no longer needed the seven seat option or the space so we went down the SUV route,
  3. dont you mean bunch of cross dressing skirt wearing back stabbing rear end shunting no goods!
  4. well the rail and carriage are not handed just the chair on that model :o look on the bright side the rail is worth around
  5. they are 17" AWC Stuttgard rims and no not mine, my Galaxy has gone to a dealers somewhere? my 17's are still sitting in the garage though awaiting a refurb
  6. there are two acess panels in the rear hatch interior panel, remove the one you need to get to, unplug it, undo the fixings and it should pop out?

  8. a 2.3 a pd?
  9. looks like it's a NO then! probably due to the uglyness of the rims of question!
  10. what do you need to know?
  11. vacuum pump is an integral part of the fuel pump! and the servo? you cant miss it! above the brake pedal in the engine bay
  12. unless its an auto you can check the operation of the reversing lights, stick it in reverse, switch on the ignition but dont start the engine and walk round the back to see if they light up? job done, one more thing done before she gets in and even more brownie points :angry2:
  13. but isnt there something about the towing capacity figures for the Mk3 only being valid at sea level? with a less than 12% uphill gradient? so unless your presently living and holidaying in east anglia your stuffed :angry2:
  14. 2002 model IIRC? so a bit more than three nuts! the panel under the light unit has to come off as well IIRC? as there is a screw under there as well
  15. no its possible to remove the rear hatch from the control of the central locking system and only operate the lock manually! this is done by sticking the key in the lock and turning it in one direction and then removeing the key...it's in the user hand book somewhere which I no longer have, so your on your own there I'm afraid
  16. possibly a repairable part? it has plastic end caseings so as long as these are ok? you should be able to repair/plug any holes in the core? as for a diy job? depends if you have the time and the space to do it? I took one look at the work involved  and passed it on to a local garage, who promtly swore afterwards to never do another
  17. If you loseing a slight amount of coolant as well? your heater matrix is leaking! big job! total dash out, and a ac recharge
  18. well we all know thats total crap! a. the call center in India would first off take your details then run a line test and contact you three days later to tell you that there was a problem with the line and we have now fixed it and can we help you with anything else? b. an engineer attended site! how many weeks after the call was logged did that happen? the old dear was probably dead or moved into a home by the time the engineer actually got there or had totally forgot about it and was telling the postman about the time she and the sailor home on leave were behind the shelter on the high street the night when the jerry's bombed the co-op...ooh they were the good old days..... c. the dog was tied to the pole with an iron chain and collar! very unlikely! some thieving diddy scum had had that away and weighed it in along with the bronze plates he got from the local memorial garden round the back of the local cremartorian d. cure the problem by peeing on it! well to start off with, there's the risk assement for handling waste materials, then there's the hot working permit for live voltages, then the hazardous waste disposal and clean up operation ... shall we continue?
  19. your correct there have been a few cases of the bolt on the selector shaft failing and dropping into the box! if your lucky the bolt will fall to the bottom of the box and do no damage! but worse case! it gets chewed up on the way down and totals the box!
  20. IIRC.....take out the ashtray, two screws under there, remove the gearstick gaitor, two more screws, remove the center consule and then either unclip or remove the locating screw and slide them out
  21. it's do able but! I'm sure your going to discuss this idea with your insurance company :) and get the adapter TUV approved before you fit them :)
  22. would be very hard to connect it wrong! there are only two hoses and two spigots to connect to, as I said earlier it's most likely the vavle block on the pump that has failed/worn and is allowing blow past when opererated, hence the low pressure out of the front jets when the rear is selected!
  23. didnt know corby had any speed humps? are you sure you not running over the locals after closing time? <_< top mounts dont normally rattle! they mormally grind or graunch as you turn the steering wheel, there isnt a lot in the top mount that can rattle? are you sure its a suspension rattle?
  24. http://www.talktomycar.co.uk/contact.htm a bit closer to you if you had any problems!
  25. would it be worth while upgradeing? as it still wont talk to the engine as its a Ford lump and not a VW
