when i 1st turn my car on there is a little smoke,but if i do heavy acceleration there is quite a bit,but mine is due an oil change pretty soon.

as aid its either a trip to the stealers or a decent auto locksmith,who has the software to reprogram the keys. or if as you say you have just bought it,was this from a dealer?if so take it back and tell them you want it sorted, as they have given you 2 keys,im pretty certain under the sale of goods act,then they should be working correctley.:rolleyes:

Just like to add that replacing the hose clips to the jubilee type will help on reassembly and a dam sight easier for removal to replace the brushes when it goes again.

are you totally sure the compressor is fubared,because you can replace the clutch with the compressor in situ. word of warning,if your system is empty fine,if not you are NOT meant to allow the refrigerant to atmosphere. then when your new 1 is fitted,it will require a complete clean out,and a regas.

think you are going to have to perservere on this 1,iirc there has been numerous posts on this subject,its either very easy or a complete bugger to do.

does the door led light up at all??? if not then you might have to inspect the wires in the rubber boot from car to door.

I have considered buying a Zafira as a new car replacement to be rid of this noise!!!!!! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO dont do it.
