  1. ah ha,iirc there was a post on here way back, where someone had a problem with there fob,im sure the board actually split somehow. remote fobs do suffer from dry solders aswell.
  2. do a search on the forum for autos, they do tend to cost a fair bit if the gearbox go's wrong.
  3. read this thread, http://www.fordgalaxy.org.uk/ford/index.php?showtopic=14780&st=0&p=120429&hl=beeps%20&fromsearch=1entry120429 and within the thread are links to others.

  5. firts port of call would be to check for broken wires in the door gaitors, then take it from there.
  6. well it was that time of year again, and she passed with 3 advisories. slight movement in the mcpheason struts,er yeah you had the bloody car jacked up ,so of course there will be. front brake pipes slight corrosion. and near side rear tyre getting close to the limit. still happy days
  7. iirc there cheaper from ford then buying them from ebay?
  8. what do you call a nun in a wheel chair? VIRGIN MOBILE.
  9. was this a kit replacement?? did you check the length of the new wires with the old ones? i robbed my new wheel and wires from a mk1 version, funny isnt it the mk 1 frame is different to the mk2 but the wires are the same size. so once it was fitted back onto the complete frame,on mine there was no excess wire to take up.
  10. i know what there talking about, but still dont understand how some people have no trouble running it and others have no end of problems with it.ME incluced.

  14. mirez YOUR wanted again m8,:16:
  15. you say you have replaced the wire, but did you inspect the plastic cog wheel, when mine went it had stripped itself so no matter what i done the wire over ran and siezed up. i got a spare unit and robbed the wheel and replaced everything.as for insuring smooth operation it was a bit of trial and error in positioning the glass in the holders.
  16. i know exactley what you mean,i too had the same trouble.you really need 3 pairs of hands, but it can be done. walk away have a smoke and a drink then come back to it,iirc i ended up using my foot to pull the wires tight whilst fitting the wheel back together,
