its the programming that costs a lot,i bought a remote key for about 20 quid and a blank for a tenner,timpsons can cut the key(7quid)THEN you come to a full stop,unless you want to pay the dealer major dosh.

from reading up on previous posts on this forum,what ever you do make sure you get someone who knows what there doing otherwise there goner have your pants down,hopefully it wont cost you too much,im sure there must be a decent gearbox menders in Brighton?

do a search on the forum this has been covered many times,hope youve got deep pockets.

if they have started to work by themselves without you touching anything,then it could be breaks in the wiring in the doors or you might have a swimming pool under your passenger seat,check out the faqs in the technical section.hth.

ant i do know someone who is a senior diagnostic technician with all the kit,who might be able to help you(dunno how much he would charge)BUT HE KNOWS HIS STUFF.

iirc aslong as you tell them about any problems then your covered under the sale of goods act(28 days)DONT DRAG UR ARSE be quick and hopefully your get a result.

I have also problems with starting. When turning the key, sometimes it does not start and the LED in the door flashes. When I remove the key, wait for the interior lights to switch off, sometimes it starts and LED is on continuously. My car has no remote control for locking/unlocking the doors, the key only contains a led and one battery. I think this is not a technical fault but a security that kicks in when using the key wrongly, for example turning in the wrong direction when locking/unlocking the doors? The spare key does not have a battery or led, I did not use it yet. Can you explain this behaviour? hi joost welcome to the forum,as i dont yet know what version car you have im clutching at straws but im wondering whether you have a problem with the central locking module under the passenger seat for your intermittent starting,check for water leaks,look in the faqs in the technical section on the forum, iirc all your keys will have an immobilizer chip within the key. hth

try the main dealers 1st for parts,fords vw and seat,then use there prices as a comparison then take a look on ebay,BONE of contention about disabling the passenger airbag,has been covered b4 and got quite heated if i remember.

iirc this is a simple reprogram exercise by ford using there sofware,sounds like they cant be arsed,give the trade and standards a call and see what they have to say about the problems your having with fords,hth by the way welcome to the forum.

it can also happen if there has been an awful amount of moisture in the cabin,we have a p reg vw caddy van at work and the steering wheel is exactly the same,and thats got 37000 miles on it.BUT IT LEAKS LIKE A SIEVE.

i take it this stuff will only plug a hole?what happens if there is a chunk of the tyre missing,its advisable to make sure you have breakdown cover when buying this car then.once the solution has been used does it make the tyre U.S?or can the fitters remove the latex and do a professinal repair to the tyre??. me thinks a cheap can of expanding foam should be carried aswell :lol: ;)

have to agree about the sintra maz TOTAL PANTS,i know someone who has a terrano he px his 04 tdi galaxy for it,think he now realizes he made a mistake.
