just a thought is all the service history from 1 garage?if not it might be worth ringing the garages up that have done the servicing and asking them if they have done it.

bloody hell,i had to pick my parents up from aresturant and take them home,I HAVNT SEEN snow like it in there road for at least 20 years,they live on quite a steep hill and had to go up it in 1st stopped outside there house and tried to pull away AND I WAS STUCK :lol: :rolleyes: the snow must have been about 5-6 inches i ended up reversing onto the pavement and doing a. uy

then in my opinion it HASNT GOT FULL SERVICE HISTORY,do a search on here for approx price garages charge and ring a few up,you havnt told us what the details of the car are?but iirc there was a change over around the early part of 2003 when they changed the interval of the cam belt change from 40,000 to 60,000 miles and with the details you have given if it needed changing at 40k THEN ITS WAY OVER DUE but if its 60k then negotiate the cost in the deal.hth.

it aint just them,when i owned the zaffy i had a graunching noise coming from the rear wheels,MY MISSUS took the car into an independent tyre place,and lo and behold they said i needed new disks and pads alround.THEY GOT BLOODY STROPPY with my missus when she told them not to do the work,i went out and bought the parts,ready to be fitted by my m8,but decided to get a 2nd opinion from another tyre place GUESS WOT sod all wrong with them just needed a blow out because of the brake dust,THERE ALL ROBBING BAR*TA*DS.

JUST MY TWO PENCE WORTH if you can find (through internet searching etc)anyone else suffering the same problem and ford helping them out then perhaps you could use this in your argument,if they have set a precedent with others then i would of thought they would do the same with you,perhaps send a letter to the likes of auto express to see if they might be able to steer you in the right direction,also give trade and standards people a ring,there a helpful bunch,they also might be able to give you the right info for your argument. this is only my opinion though but i hope you get it all sorted out.GOOD LUCK,think your going to need it.
