yeah forgot about that malcolm,the cam belt shouldve been changed at 60k.

well mines an 03 and got 82k on the clock,isnt it 12-15k a year? that you allow for. is it private sale or dealer?if dealer try and get them to give you a years warrenty. bear in mind there is a lot of people on here that have had problems with autos. if you look through some of the recent thread on the forum you will see someones galaxy sadly died iirc at about 245k lol.bear in mind this is a 6 year old car and not brand new. think you had a luckey excape with the espace.

and some people would say that they made these at all!!!! personally i wouldve obtained another wheel and somehow strapped it in the car.i wouldnt feel safe without a spare.

glad you havnt suffered to much damage,im surprised the matiz didnt fall apart. a work collegue got rear ended on his brand new motorbike last week,took a few photos to show us,the bike had moulded into the bonnet of this peugot.a bit of damage to the bike,now the car was a right state.

welcome to the forum fraz, take a look at the rubber boot at the top right when you open the hatch,the wires in there have a tendency to break and cause no end of probs. the reason why so many of these cars suffer from there own swimmingpool is the designers decided to put a join in the tube that runs front to back for the rear washer right near 1 of the main control boxes. basically search on the forum to see if your questions have already been asked/answered,then if no joy post away your problems.hth.

have you swapped this at a dealers?if so take it back and demand that they do any repairs to it.

have you checked the wires in the rubber boot,known problem for breaking.

im 6'2 and i find it ok,have you tried adjusting the seat up or down as well as the steering wheel.

im surprised that fords are cheaper?

im surprised you wouldnt of thought of that yourself? in this day and age even if you hadnt broken any eggs he will say you have,just to try and get a hefty cheque from your insurance company,im afraid thats the way of the world now days. some people will all ways inflate the truth. as kev has said best leave it to the insurance company to sort. at least youve got a yaris to keep you company.

right i really think you need to contact these peeps, http://www.tradingstandards.gov.uk/ and explain the situation,dont hang about the law is on your side but the longer you leave it the harder it is to get the dealer to fix the problems. tell the dealer they have 1 last chance to rectify ALL THE FAULTS or you will be making the phone call to them.they are very helpful i had to use them when i bought my car and once the dealer saw that i wasnt prepared to be pi55ed about they repaired all the faults on my car. hth. gregers
