you might have to use some adjustable pliars with some rag wrapped round it(take it easy)its made of plastic,or source a bloody big socket to do the job.

i was luckey when mine went,it kept the codes,but the consensus is it will need to be reprogramed. mmm thinking about it maybe it holds the memory for a few minutes???

is this a private sale???or from a dealer?if dealer get it back to them sharpish and tell them to sort it out. as with any gearbox problem it could turn out to cost you a bloody fortune,do a search on auto gearbox's on here there quite a few posts.

you might be able to pot rivet it back together?????or maybe a weld of some sort,other wise find a doner sunroof and spend a weekend removing the roof lining and EVERYTHING.there are very detailed instructions on this in the faqs or do a search on here i have had t replace the sunroof on my old mk 1,mmmmm a job i loved doing.

fraz thats the trouble with a lot of garages,they know a lot of the faults our cars suffer from or not as the case maybe,but they will have you pay an arm and a leg just to keep replacing items until they stumble on the faulty item.when as now found it was a few broken wires.

just for info steve the car you own is mainly(iirc98%)a vw,so always try to get the prices from vw aswell as ford/seat.

if you do not have rear roof vents then it will only blow cold from the fronts vents,tell us what version your car is.
