  1. It's been raining all day here in coventry. I have been working outside all day. I was cold and soaked through and i have it all to do tomorrow in west brom. Oh i forgot it snowed quite a bit too !!! At the moment it's raining again
  2. Mine seem to smell of fuel at this time of year. The smoke will be the heater. I have fixed mine recently and the smell is still there. Not the smoke tho.
  3. It will solve it for now. Repair tho only takes about an hour.
  4. I use gsf alot. Not to expensive, friendly, and have good quality parts. Most of them are same as dealer without the price. Also have website to buy from.
  5. Thank you couldn't find it..
  6. Fitting them in the rear passenger that would be a pain in the @ss  :16: :16: . Did they fit on the car easy enough  & what did you use ? sorry couldn't help it !
  7. They go around the the passenger windows. The glass when wound up goes into it ( three sides )
  8. 60,000 mile service as per the book is a major service which may from time to time require additional scheduled maintenance such as cambelt, brake fluid change, antifreeze change. These should be done in line with ford recommendations. 70,000 mile service is an annual standard one to include standard service checks, oil, oil filter, odour filter.
  9. Hi again. The car was consistantly poor. The holding back dissapeared. The idling problem i developed went too. If you need a code reader and don't want to pay loads i will give you a link.
  10. I have bought rear window strips to fit on my Galaxy MkII (from frauds cost a fortune). Mine have corroded inside the rubber. Do you pull the old straight out and push the others in ? Would it be better to give the new ones a gentle (very) Tap with rubber mallet ? and do they have an adhesive ?
  11. Clutch from gsf IIRC is about
  12. Yes he has them. So you could get one from there.
  13. It will be the glowplug me thinks. Mine was like that. If you want to know where to get a cheap one hedge Pm me and when i get home tomorrow i'll point you in the right direction. If they are sold out i have a stock and i will let you have one for what it cost me plus your delivery. They are the new type.
  14. I had mine dicconnected for nearly 2 years due to the fact it had gone pear shaped. Then when i got round to doing it the heater worked fine. If you pull the fuse yes it will stop working. I don't think it wastes that much fuel to be honest. My gal smelt of fumes when it wasn't working anyway.
  15. Be careful of the back two. Bloomin things can break.
  16. It is. thanks. :D In most cases it will be the glowplug. Easy fix.
  17. If the noise can be heard from the rear wheel passenger side, yep.
  18. Don't let any partners see that ! They will think it's ok to dent our cars :D :D
  19. The plug socket, extension bar with torque wrench maybe ?
  20. If it's a mkII galaxy number 12 fuse.
  21. I agree  . My aux heater went on me sitting in traffic to plooms of white smoke. I can't for one minute think it will be possible to get it off the insurance. Having said that it's worth trying. I hope you get a successful result.
  22. I know More>Than very, very, well (knowing someone who worked in there for over 20 years). This is common. This was the company i got my discount with. They are the second biggest insurer in the uk behind zenith. I should imagine that comparison websites make their money out of it as well. The only way to get a deal with them seems to be to get to that retention dept. If you do change just make sure that the deal is as good elsewhere if not better. Read all the details in small print. Yes granted we don't want to have an accident in our gals, but, if we do we want the best cover.
  23. Then i don't blame you for changing. Elephant.co.uk is owned by Admiral Group plc, so you shouldn't have any problems. I would just advise you to check the small print to ensure you are getting like for like insurance. It's great to see people shopping around, not enough do.
