  1. Whoop's i forgot to say hello. Hello Singh :32: That's better !
  2. Who say's i know nofink ? I don't even know that much
  3. Unfortunately i don't. Although the gal will be quick it is heavy and not built for speed. Although vauxhalls ared heavy too. Put a post out about it if you are worried. Someone will give you the spec on it. Then you can compare how fast yours is to theirs. I hope i have been of help.
  4. Where can i get a thrust bearing from and how much ? What noises would i get from the gal if it's gone ? Sorry for all the questions.
  5. Personally for the cost of the plugs i would change them regular but i would get the best. A maf sensor is a part that tells the ecu what fuel is needed and adjust accordingly. If this is faulty then you will notice a difference in performance, fuel, Idling erratically (not in all cases). If you wanted to know if one was faulty you could disconnect it and see if there is a difference. There will be a performance issue if it was working before, but, if you had erratic idling like i did recently then that would stop. If replacing one, the cost is between
  6. No mate i always take it to a garage.I have full history on mine why ?
  7. A hydrometer would be perfect from halfrauds (minus the float)
  8. Remember at the end of the day it's all about money for them. Make sure you have it with you. I'm the type of person that would forget it !
  9. Mine is the 115 . The 130 is a good motor but you will loose a bit of fuel economy but you will gain a bit more power. Im happy with mine i get enough straight line speed. The road tests state about 113 mph for mine (thats true but i wouldn't promote speeding) i don't know what it is for the 130 but people say there is a better acceleration. I think the ghia has cruise control and climate i think. Mine hasn't but i have reversing sensors front and rear which makes mine easy to park. To be honest i would just take your time looking around and you will get one that suits your requirements. If i was to get another the 130 i would try but the 115 must be best value for money (this is only my opinion).
  10. You pay by credit card ?
  11. Hi singh welcome to the forum. I have a 2001 tdi galaxy. Mine has done 162000 miles still going strong. Ok the odd thing or three, but they are VW built. My engine is VW underneath a ford plastic cover. The fuel economy is great. It's a manual and to be honest i prefer that to an auto. The Seat & Sharan are pretty much the same motor. So either would be good. If you like the interior of the Gal then thats the one. You should be able to get a good one for
  12. Hi smudge2002. Well you got a good gal if you want economical motoring. Welcome to this forum. Happy New Year
  13. That sounds good. Shame mine doesn't do that but i can't have it all. If i read the road signs on the motorways i can get by, i can come off at a junction and avoid the motorway i have been on, having said that i can't tell if the congestion has cleared. I travel up and down all the motorways all the time so i get to know many hot spots. It is depressing tho sitting in a jam. The M25 seems to be like that all the time.
  14. Mine shows petrol stations too skippy2. Under places of interest. Plus food, pubs, airports etc.....Plus free speed camaras. You do have to pay for updates on them. I think it's
  15. Just thought you can get funnels that bend. I wonder if that would work.
  16. I did mine a little while ago. I too found it hard and to poor it in. I took the the hose off the maf.If you found something to use as like a funnel. I know you can't get one in there but with a bit of hose pipe attached too maybe ?
  17. Yes mate. Your car could lack performance or be heavier on fuel. In my case the engine idled funny. I bought a new one and that played up. I disconnected it and the car lost performance but the idle problem stopped. It's best to buy a good one. I have a bosch one in mine now and it goes well.
  18. Hi Banjo-Kipper. Welcome. I have a gal where the air con don't work. My problem is that there is a a break in the pipe where there is a bend at the front of the car. You can notice this as you look in the engine bay. It's a big job to replace as my pipe goe's all the way into the bulk head. The pipe isn't expensive but the labour cost for it is. I haven't had it done but i would of liked too. It may be a reason for my condensation in the mornings sometimes (I read that on here by the way). Oh well im talking too much. Have a happy new year mate and i hope i can be of help in the future. Steve m.
  19. Im with you mk2vr6. I have a bluemedia satnav. I cost me
  20. I have seen one of these in my hometown. I like them it just makes the car different from the rest. It suits that colour skippy 2

  23. No i haven't as yet zorgman. They told me that they never had it delivered today as they promised (it was missed off their delivery). I have rung them again this afternoon and they said they had a van out to pick it up. They have now closed as i have tried to ring them again since (they promised to ring me hmmmm). On their site they do not list them only that the glow plugs start cheap. When i eventually get it i will let all of you know on here. I will be on the case first thing in the morning as it's still in bits so i need it sorted asap. (They haven't told me their part number yet but they took the details off my plug to order)
  24. Welcome Graham1500 If you have a problem post it here. There are many of us on here that will try to help. Just remember tho give everyone the model of your gal so they know where to start. :)
