  1. Depending on how many heaters you have it will be anything from 7 to 10 litres so your bottle should be sufficient.
  2. There are the standard factory fit wheels which most models have but you could order different wheels as an option (or even have them fitted later by the Dealer). In your case whoever originally bought the car decided to pay a bit extra to have the different wheels! The fact that your car was built in 2003 and registered in 2004 is not unusual. It had just been sitting in storage waiting to be sold.
  3. The higher profile would result in your overall wheel / tyre diameter increasing by almost 5cm. This will have the effect of making your speedo read 6% slower, i.e. at 70mph the speedo would actually read 66mph. The pressures for 215/60 R16 tyres fitted to the Galaxy are the same as 225/50 R17 except for the rear under normal load which are slightly higher at 35psi instead of 32psi. You'd have to check whether your insurer is happy with you "modifying" away from the manufacturer's specification but if you were to change to smaller wheels (16") in combination with the higher profile tyres (215/60 R16) then there shouldn't be a problem and your speedo wouldn't be affected either.
  4. Not sure how much this tells you! E10000 - Initial Configuration Not Complete no sub type information C15100 - Lost Communication With Restraints Control Module General Failure Information No sub type information 9A8451 - Car Configuration Data System Internal Failures not programmed F00616 - Supply voltage not within the specified range (9 - 16 V)
  5. S-MAX will definitely fit because it's basically the same car. Also, both S-MAX and Galaxy are based on the (new) Mondeo platform so a Mondeo gearbox should be OK but you'd need to compare the gear ratios.
  6. The wheel diameter gets bigger but the tyre profile is smaller, hence the combined wheel/tyre diameter stays the same and hence does not affect anything. Provided the wheel offset is the same the only concern regarding contact with the wheel arch would be if you were also lowering the suspension.
  7. It can be a very tight fit but will come off if you pull hard enough.
  8. I believe it just means it's capable of being configured to mute the stereo when a mobile phone call is being received. Possibly even to route the phone's speakers through the car's speakers.
  9. 1) Are your tyre pressures correct? 2) Do you carry any unusual / heavy loads? 3) Has your rear suspension been modified or damaged?
  10. 3) The Mk2 Zetec had dark tinted privacy glass as standard so careful use of a window scraper / hot soapy water / white spirit should remove the stickers without damaging the glass.
  11. Sounds like it's the blower motor resistor. This is what changes the fan speed.
  12. Your problem is not just that the LH reading is out of spec. but that the difference between the two is also greater than 1 deg. This 3.15 deg difference is what's causing it to pull to one side. The spec. is actually 3deg 20' +/- 0deg 40' (in decimal terms 3.33 +/- 0.67) with no greater than 1deg difference between left and right. So, even if the left was at top spec. (4 deg) and the right was at bottom spec. (2.67 deg) the whole would be out of spec. as there would be a 1.33 deg difference. The caster angle is effectively set by the suspension geometry, i.e. the position of the balljoints in the upper and lower suspension arms. For this to have changed something must have been damaged, perhaps during the driveshaft/clutch work?
  13. No need to worry about the airbag. B_pillar.pdf
  14. That was when headlamps were made of glass and the paint could be relatively easily removed. Today's headlamps are polycarbonate so painting them could turn the plastic cloudy and you'd probably scratch them trying to remove it. Have a look here - http://shop.ebay.co.uk/i.html?_trkparms=65...id=p3286.c0.m14
  15. Full load pressures are 38psi front and 45psi rear for all wheel sizes and engines except the 2.5 petrol (which is 41/46psi).
  16. I believe the USB connectivity was a
  17. Mk3 headlights are definitely different to Mk2.
  18. Try ebay - look for "Eurolites"
  19. I think the general consensus is not on a PD engine. The older Mk1 TDI could tolerate it though.
  20. Have you checked the fuse?
  21. I'd suggest taking it back to them (assuming it was straight before they got their hands on it?!). They need to align the front wheels with the steering wheel in the correct straight ahead position.
  22. Petrol or diesel? The fact that the engine light is coming on means that it's logging a fault code. If you can get this read then it should indicate your problem.

  24. The valve seal and washer should be replaced but not the sensor itself (unless it's faulty!). The tyre fitter should be careful not to damage the sensor which is mounted on the wheel, i.e. breaking the tyre bead at the opposite side to the valve to remove the tyre.
  25. Fuse 32 (5A) powers all the items in your list (door locks, instrument cluster, clock, rear seat entertainment unit) so that's the likely culprit. Also, only Fuse 1 is wrong - should be 10A not 3A. Fuses 2 (10A) and 3 (5A) are correct.
