 The standard headlights on the old model gal [with glass lenses] suck :o :( There was quite an involved thread about it some time ago, perhaps if you search for "headlights" ? :(
-
Thanks GSM, I'll try that one later. It seems very strange that we now have to get another website involved to something to our own forum I put it down to my security settings on SP2 at first
-
 nice, how did you manage to upload the picture? I have been unable to upload a file here for about a month
-
"The lid on the master cylinder was removed whilst this was being done." I'd Imagine the resevoir is vented anyway?
-
 Thanks to all the guys that explained how to access and replace the brake light switch B) I recalled several cuss words that I'd forgotten years ago as I almost gave up trying to twist the new (single) switch back in  It was only the thought of the immense shame I would feel if I had to take it to a garage to finsh a job that I had started that persuaded me to persevere I finally managed it after using a pair of pipe grips to flex the plastic "retaining springs" that hold it in place

 Take it back tomorrow  He's telling you a load of bowlacks :o My auto behaves exactly the same regardless of outside temperature. In my opinion you should not retain the car, but if you do,GET A PARTS AND LABOUR WARRANTY OFF THE DEALER AS PART OF THE DEAL

I Find demisting windows is a lot quicker by opening the rear window vents I'm no aerodynamisist :D or wossit called :D but this seems to vastly improve the throughflow of air along the inside of the side windows :) of course this is easy peasy for ghia drivers wot av lecky ones :D Welcome to the lofty heights

;) You dont wash your wheels while they're still hot?

B) RESULT ! :o :) The guy who sold me the player sourced a switchable interface to divert the autochanger input to the head unit...the rest is too technerkil for me  :( The autochanger has to be "playing" silently to allow my dvd player to play via the car speakers :) :o The device also allows another auxilliary to be added to it,making 3 A/V choices through the 3 way switch B) Apparantly it would'nt work for my mate, because he doesnt have an autochanger, perhaps it is powered through said changer?
-
:( Thanks guys, A friend of mine has a similar problem,he dont got an autochanger,so guess who's gonna try Dally's suggestion first? :) Incidently,I have again tried to upload jpeg's to my post witout success, should I be allowing something with sp2 security settings?

:D MATT,I have found reference to connecting to a dolby AC3 amp,it has a digital out earphone socket, that is also referred to as an optical fibre cable, and an AV out, which is where the fm modulator is plugged in at the moment.  Yip I have a 6 cd auto-changer in the rear armrest :D It sounds like this is leading to good news :o
-
 does anyone know if its possible to modify a 6000cd unit to Play the audio part of a standalone DVD player? :o I have tried an FM modulator on all of its available frequencies, and to be blunt,It SUCKS :D There is so much atmospheric hissing there that I think the guys who make these devices must take heavy sedatives to sleep at night
-
 Perhaps Ford main dealers could empty it if it was used prior to a service   If it only gets used in an emergency would it qualify as a safety item? :(

Helicopters? :P Rotary wings old chap :o

:P Great, now I have double vision :o

 My last gal had this...it took ages - and the usual hour for the head auto electrician of our local dealership to discover that the previous owner had removed the fuse for the ignition feed to the radio :( It transpires that if a certain type of mobile is "combined" with the stereo, that a text message(I presume) could be left on the display screen of said stereo in the drivers absence for up to 1 hour after "he"? left the car...( :( too techy for a she :( )
-
B) I think the 5 spoke alloys fitted to the slighly older model are about the best looking "supplied as standard" wheel ford have ever used, and should have been retained, even though they're only 16" :(
-
;) I'm sure there must be a very good reason for you to feel she should learn to drive an auto, rather than a manual? ;)
-
B)OK I'll bite----------- I expect this'll be on a 63 vauxhall viva then? :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o ;) ;)

Why Is The Brake Warning Light Still On?
Dave-G replied to davewill's topic in Ford Galaxy Technical Section MK I MK II
;) This isn't a statement, it's a question:do the rear pads have sensors? -
Is This A One Off Or Normal
Dave-G replied to davewill's topic in Ford Galaxy Technical Section MK I MK II
 Aha,you like many of us bought aftermarket pads? to fit gals with 16" wheels? :o The aftermarket guys aint got the right ones for the year 2002 minor facelifted models, and generally wont have pattern parts untill a car comes out of the manufacturers warranty period. I got mine from ford @ -
;) I hear what you're all saying :( :D But If I was in a buisiness that sold aftermarket stereo's for example, or "Daves-mart" I too would try to increase my chances of clearing a slow moving Item like this that is no longer required by the person that fitted a non ford "upgrade" search this forum to see how many might be set to one side  You ought to bear in mind that some people are addicted to baybuying, and frequently get sucked into paying way over the top just to "win" the auction  :D And also, please bear in mind that this could be a perfectly legitimate car audio specialist clearing out their part exchanges?....just like hewlett packard sell "refurbished PC's :(
