  1. Well ...... :D let me scratch my head for a bit........ :o ;) B) :D :( Right here goes... My bruv in law is a nice bloke...even though he comes from IPSWICH! of all places, but he insists that his 53 plate 130 bhp manual galaxy has a kickdown function on his throttle.... EH? I say hoping he'll simply accept that I know it dont....but I think my sis thinks he still thinks there is one so....is there?
  2. Well? are they now good for 60,000?
  3. :( Ah but Dally....yours is a nice shiny new model with the "new improved blue whitener in it" version....which perhaps didnt get supplied with a warning tringle to fit to a bracket in "the boot"  The older model was somewhat harder...I removed mine PERIOD like...
  4. B) "Ping" - :( :( Pong B) "(Should I mention this?) I have this problem when using the handbrake to check speed on long downhill inclines ......" B) Is this from a previous post ivor? B)
  5. B) You could probably get some pipe grips from a pound shop...dunno what they'd cost tho' B) http://www.citroenpicasso.org.uk/picasso/uploads/post-34-1113253324.gif
  6. :) In short, as the car moves off (over 15mph iirc) the wipers "take it to the next level"
  7. "It may help if you tell us what area your in? unless of course your willing to travel ? " say it louder VR6...it worked for me :)

  11. Er...well he's lost me too :o B) It sounds like T120 thinks I imply that the zetec was exclusivley in the mondeo, when I was actually stating that the ZETEC engine was the most preferable in a mondeo, well it was "the one to have" in my state blue 94 M reg LX estate:blink: :P Johnb80 might even be able to remember the registration number, or a relevant part of it  B) You're not the "friend" in question are you T120 B)
  12. Hi Wonky :) There's a grommet in the bulkhead, under the carpet/behind the glovebox
  13. :( The dealer and your "FRIEND" are talking out of their tailgates when mentioning Zetec :( :( The confusion is caused by the "zetec" buzzword (THE ENGINE to have in a mondeo) being exploited by ford. Depending on the strenth of your friendships with "FRIEND" and "DEALER" may I suggest you tell them they are sadly missinformed pratts? :o
  14. :( methinks the ford warranty is 2 years, but you wont have the ford uk additional warranty for an extra year...if that makes sense :( :( The fact that you appear to be using a non ford tape adaptor may conflict with the warranty, try the fade function several times to see if it occurs without the DVD player/adaptor in place  best of luck... :o not seen many posts from you lately :o
  15. DO NOT use pliers,Beleive it or not,the "nut " is made of a very hard, high temp but brittle plastic...there will be no warning when this is about to break (I am told)
  16. barry, disconnect the MAF and go for a ride where you know the problem shows up...Probably a hilly area :o B) If your car is driving significantly better - then the MAF IS the problem
  17. :D That sounds like kwiksave :o
  18. :o "whats the maf ?" :D Do a search for it :D on second thoughts...this forums search prob wont work on a four letter word search...look over the last few weeks technical stuff
  19. :D :D  :D Corskey...read Ivors reply again...If you're slightly dyslexic swap some of the words around :D  :D :D :P
  20. A reasonably straight 3M lenth of 50MMx50MM timber would be more reliable than kwikfits on uppingham road in leicester
  21. Well I could be wrong mate, but I think you'll find a 16" model has larger disc/brake components than 15" models  The steel spare wheels of more recent ghia models are 16"
  22. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...7963897318&rd=1
  23. :P no comment  there must be several out there from when they became faulty before ford take them in "effective part ex" for a new one? surely someone put there's to one side? rest assurred SOMEBODY is reconditioning MAF sensors for a number of fuel injected cars...this problem is not unique to diesels/shalaxies
  24. " You can try but IMO you'll be v. lucky if it makes a difference..." I'd imagine dealers only exchange items that CAN be recond'd as there's little commercial sense in recovering components to simply be disposed of, otherwise they'd offer exchange deals on almost anything...
  25. :P ANY OLD IRONS...ANY OLD IRONS... ANY OL..  I'm interested in examining faulty MAF's,I wont go into why because there's always SOMEONE ready to shoot ya down, If anyone has one/some I'd be willing to send them a stamped addressed jiffy bag to let me have a poke around, just email me,or I can tell you my address so you can post it if you'd rather not give your AD,or even pay it by paypal  http://www.citroenpicasso.org.uk/picasso/uploads/post-34-1111602538.jpg I only need this part, which can be removed with anti-tamper torx bits... B) or by smashing the main duct with a hammer :D Thanks in advance
