Every time I replace the fronts I get a very spongy pedal. I know instinct dictates you don't drive it, but I do drive it slowly whilst braking frequently in a relatively quiet area. You will probably find that once the high spots of the disc are worn into the pad the brakes will firm up. For me this occurs within a mile or so. Let usknow how you get on please.

Get your lad or Mrs to do it if you have big hands and it can be done thru the hatch. The nearside is easist because the air intake hose blocks part of the access to the off side one. If they have both "gone now" you should be ashamed of yourself. One could be down to miss-fortune: it was on earlier occifer honest I checked it meself.

An Asian Gentleman recently moved in next door to me. A few days later he knocked on my door and said to me, "As our houses are indentical in size, How many rolls of paper did you buy to do the hall"? I told him "14". A week later he knocked on the door again and said "I have 4 rolls of paper left over". I said "So have I!"

Not too bad a price to pay... if your belt change interval is looming. I had mine done FOC recently under warranty, just 4000 miles short of the belt interval. And yes I got the 'cambelt replacement stamped into the back of the service book. Is there a bit of a stink coming from the engine compartment by the way?

Sounds like the old gal has done a lot of short trips in it's past. A darned good run does em a power of good occasionally.

So - you have a mark 1 galaxy yes? We're only good at guessing whwn something relates only to a specific vintage. Could you ammend you profile signature to let us help you better next time? Flat bladed instrument will pull it out ok - it's on 'snap clip retainers. You can do this outside a dealers/halford type place. Then use a fine nose pliers to twist and pull the plastic lamp base out, pull the bulb off it's base IIRC and nip in to show them what you want. If you cant get the bulb off the holder take it in with the base.

The photo's start on page 6 of the link below - thanks to one of our kind members... IVOR but if you take the trouble to read the whole thread with a coffee you'll all learn a hellofalot about the heaters. Ivors pictorial help Before I did mine - using Ivors pictures - my heater smoked like hell and fuel leaked out of it. it was getting warmish but the glowplug was not getting hot enough to burn the fuel properly. After the job it was brrrriliant :43:

Remote Locking And Unlocking
Dave-G replied to davewill's topic in Ford Galaxy Technical Section MK I MK II
AFAIK the antenna's are at the centre top of the front and rear screens. This is the best place to aim the key. As a point of interest: it seems that if you are up to about 50 feet from your car and point the key at your head whilst looking at the car - while pressing the lock/unlock it works. Try it before you laugh - and thats from Jeremy Clark :(
