umm will get my A level kids(physics) to do the calcuations - general observation the alloy is going to needto be pretty stiff if the stress is not to result in too large a strain (high E-tens of TPa) especially if the clearance between blade and body is small - and thats not even considering creep and fatigue

yes its the wiring inside its a combination of poor qualty wires and length of the loom - diffent places have different problems - check the faq for accessing the wires in the rubber boots - click on the red link in my signature.

wonder if the load on the power steeering pump is greater at/near full lock which could empahasise the noise then, hence the relationship to the steering if it is he aux belt - ??? I like the reasoning behind that.... Hmmm . Got me thinking... On my way to the local empty supermarket carpark!!! It's worth going back to take a look....it has caught on big time. There's loads of good overlays available, and also a validation system so you can tell which ones have been proven. I found it has some traffic cam info that is only a few weeks old! tried using them last year but the overlay info for cams was sure dodgy - actually had a traffic camera (gatso) marked which would have been visible from our landing window - guess what - no camera, never had been (road had only been open 2 years). Stuck to Pocketgpsworld camera database - seems quite good

even if they look okay my money would be on a break in the wires inside the insulation inside the rubber boot
