  1. I thought that for the Mk1 you needed the security key to program another key to the PATS, with the mk2 you need 2 working keys to program a third..
  2. definitely given your other post about changing the batteries in the fob have a look at this thread there is a picture of the chip in here - some of non remote key and further down the remote one this thread
  3. IIRC there were some posts from seatkid (I think) about remote keys not working ll the time - perhaps need to search on here - not been around for a while so cant remember where they were
  4. definitely given your other post about changing the batteries in the fob
  5. thanks mate
  6. Your details say you have a "Galaxy S-Max MK3 2007 " does that mean that Ford are using the same linkage as the MK2 galaxy - did you break your linkage ? if not and you are somewhere close to shefford/hitchin perhaps I can help with the old one - could always recon it and sell on ebay to help recoup cost of new one :-)
  7. would probably get some advice but I think you need to let folks know what model/age you have
  8. If mine are anything to go by you may have to "REPEATEDLY BASH IT HARD" I used a No3 Thor copper and it needed an awful lot of bashing, I really couldn't believe that the motor could move the wipers at all - done mine twice now -the second time I used a 'dremel' with flexible shaft to clean all of the oxide out of the housing between the upper and lower bearing surfaces- bean a few years and not had to repeat ......
  9. must be just me but .. puller for which bit ??
  10. we have this and it can carry 4 bikes but you have to get them arranged just so - good secure fitting usually once you ve sorted the positions at the beginning of the season can get quite quick at getting the bikes off and on .....
  11. Well at the time we were told that they were trying to source a recon box which for our information we were told would have cost about 2.3k fitted - in the end they couldn't get one so after 3 weeks we had a new one ... what a shame :-) .. trouble is over the years you spend on keeping the car on the road so you know that the cambelts been done, the looms been replaced etc etc so what do you do trade in for a car that you have little info about or keep the one you know ......
  12. oh I see one has turned up :lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:
  13. as per subject line
  14. would depend on how much petrol and diesel present - IIRC the diesel can put up with some contamination especially is you keep topping up with diesel - but as gregers says why worry if they are going to deal with it
  15. yes definitely the place to start - the clicking from near the petrol cap is probably the central locking activating the flap lock
  16. so gregers you have graduated from zaffy boi to lexy boi :16::16:
  17. is the connector properly connected?
  18. keen to get home .. not so keen to get to work  seriously - more hills there ? prevailing wind ? - Air colder if you go in the morning ??
  19. model / age ??? had a replacement autobox from ford/vw (was a brand new one under warranty) at 23k because of these symptons now done 149k
  20. thanks Ffloydey, been to see local garage who services for me and he,said pop in and he,ll hook up to it and tell me the fault.rear wiper not working and wet under passenger seet .i been trying to get it going so i think the problem is to do with that as some members say the pipe comes apart and wets the control box under seat so it seems a coincidence that it was ok untill i was messing with that.and its wet down there.see what happens when ive been down to see him.maybe he can fix it while i,m off work this week. rear wiper - check the wires in the rubber boot between tailgate and body - pull the boot back parking sensors - definitely need to sort the pipe out under the seat - some have reported success removing the parking sensor control and drying it out !
  21. had funny whirring noise after bumps - was the clutch coming off the aircon shaft unforunately didnt manage to sort it until it had b*ggered the hole in the clutch :-( - worth a check - takes 30sec- is the nut tight?
  22. MAF sensor? or in limp home mode due to misfire/turbo overboost errors ??
  23. had the degraded injector loom - worked fine when cold but after shorter and shorter intervals whilst running would misfire and jump into limp home mode - new loom was
