  1. do you get any knocking when going over bumps at low speed if so have a look at item 2 in the faq - alternativley enginegearbox restraining bolt -looks ok but sheared, does engine move excessively when revved in neutral - have somebody rev whilst chiecking engine
  2. mine never climbs higher than 1/2- would be surprised if the exhaust was hot at this time of the year, unless you've bypassed the external temp switch (passenger wiper linkage) or you live in greenland
  3. go back to the dealer and ask them to sort out the radio - sold with a radio which is not operational!
  4. f1 autocenter originally - about
  5. cant really agree with the noise issue I reckon they are about the same as the dunlop 2020's - wear rate slightly better though
  6. we have 11 seats for our galaxy - 3 extra child seats one of which is a mk 1 - i have never had any trouble getting them in and out - one of the child seats is used as a booster in the middle - the seat belt attachments just bolt on the existing bolts (3 point attachment) apart from the extensions for the tilt release the seat frames are all the same
  7. yes seats are interchangeable but if the middle seat has a lap belt this reduced safety will be moved as well - so it reduces the capacity by 2 unless you are happy with lap belt
  8. yes we have been having that error for a few days now .....

cute - do the brakes cope with the power or are they uprated as welll :angry2:
  10. ah yes - item 63 in the faq bj interesing SK funnily enough I did the same to my key earlier today to look at the battery number prior to changing it and noticd the same circle which appeared ro be dust/grease - wiped it off and seems better - when I change the battery I will do this to the spring
  11. as far as anyone seems to know the wireless aerial is actually in the control unit mounted on the side bulkhead near the drivers or passengers knee cant remember which side - I think there is a diagram for a lhd sharan on the site somewhere... didn't know whether you were refering to your mk2 or the 1997 mk1 which is just on the changeover from Ird to wireless
  12. if its the infra red system surely you should be pointing it at the two domes - front and rear in the headlining? I thought the door pillar heads are the ultrasonic volume sensing alarm
  13. alarm repeatedly going off is a symptom of a low battery - maybe you've run it since youv'e locked it without the alarm activated (ttwice in 2 secs) and battery is now charged enough - ours did this a lot last yer and after a couple of non-starts due to battery we replaced it - lovely ever sinc (battery was original 7 years old)
  14. bulb warning sounds normal - does it go out after brakes actuated and its tested those bulbs - for
  15. check out the wires in the rubber boot between door and pillar 99% chance you will find cracked wires in insulation or cracked insulation - check out the faq
  16. item 28 in the faq should cover it
  17. but do the light s actually come on ?? fusebox has several layers have you looked at the next layer - sorry cant remember how though
  18. this is ok leaving the indicator on lights the relevant side lights rear and front for parking on a road so if you open the door the lights on indicator should sound - to the parking lights on the relevant sides come on in these circumstances?? - may show that the stalk switch is ok ??
  19. closest we have Dealer service and reliability
  20. what a great post Mirez
  21. afaik CTC and CB are not assessed against income support so only maintenance should be offset against IS and the rules are changing about that at the moment and will change again in october
  22. IIRC about 70Kg is the limit for distributed load on the roofbars
  23. exactly my point on another thread  I did wonder if it would be useful to know whether a previous speed setting had been saved but without but its very limited
  24. umm had our for 6 years and I have wshed it .... once - its been to the car wash a couple of times and rained on as well ;)
