Ummm Just wonder whether a collapsed vacuum pipe under trying conditions would give your symptons

what is actually wrong - does it not set or set and get faster/slower or what? oops just read your second line - does it start always and then sometimes drop out of cruise or does it not start. Possibly a switch problem as you suspect, we've got an auto so if the brake switch plays up we can't get into gear so would replace at the first sign of trouble with it :)

Mother in Law - MIL :) :D :D Certainly she lights my 'Malfunction Indication Lamp' on the 1.9tdi - the Engine management light is a flashing Glowplug light - coil shaped

do you have tiptronic model - is the noise the same in different gears at the same rev level? Have you checked the transmission fluid level?

Umm perhaps wires in the door loom (rubber boot) - Ive got a rear door window which goes up and down on the switch and down on global opening (with key) but will not go up on global closing - need to finish sorting out the loom (half done)

umm what car have you got?? in the cubby in our car we have 2 connections to power sockets, small lead to temp sensor ? on reverse of load area trim panel (2 wire) small lead to parking sensor beeper (2 wire) flat connector to tail lights (5 wire ?) and a wire which disappears up the D piller - presumably through the rubber boot into tailgate + rear window motor?? Earth point (brown wires)

is it speed/engine rev related? - constant volume ?

did they say why they had to replace fusebox, IIRC ther is a fuse in common between these 3 items

also they'd be quite a bit more suitable for automated assembly

so set the trip to zero - gives you an idea at least

better - I've got 4 now which one is it warning you about - if you click on it and select disable at the bottom left and restart internet explorer

is that 'loaded' or just 'have ever used' there is a list box at the top to select which 40 items looks a lot for currently loaded

Yes works fine here now - you can add several pictures per post and position them to suit the text

whats it called? can you find it here in internet explorer>tool>internet options>programs select manage addins look for the 'extension' what have you got loaded ??
