Wrong oil I reckon. Ford use either Formula SD (a Ford product), or Castrol 505.01 (only just available in UK apparently). Get back to the dealer ASAP and ask him for the can. Also ask for (demand!!) a letter signed by the MD of your dealers confirming that the oil stated on the service was the correct Ford-specified oil.

I believe there are 3 versions. One in the Ka One in all other Fords One in the Galaxy The Galaxy one is FLAT on the front. All others are curved and the rear sections of the units are different sizes.

As per my reply on another thread: All Galaxies with Computer are set up for variable service intervals, despite the fact that neither VW, SEAT or Ford use this in the UK on Shalaxies. That's why the Ford manual tells you how to reset!

Service interval indicator on trip computer will ALWAYS come on in accordance with variable service interval logic. This is not used in UK. That's why the Galaxy handbook tells you how to reset it!! Mainland european VW/Seat use variable intervals in some countries - hence the computer is set the same everywhere.

Cruise standard on Ghia, not available on other trim levels. Old Ghia X type toys are just options on Ghia now.

I can't hear that creak on my Galaxy above the squeeks from the dashboard! Also, if you drive a bit faster the rattle/creak will become inaudible over the wind noise from the same door! They WON'T fit a MK1 TIS says that Mk2 and Mk1 wheels are not interchangeable and MUST not be installed on incorrect MK vehicle... dumpie: put em on Ebay 1 tyre at a time - you will probably get more for them. I've got a steel spare, as many Ghia owners have and am looking to buy an alloy for the spare wheel.

nimrod, if it's a camera with removable cards, get a usb card reader. Under a tenner. Better value than a new camera unless your's is a low resolution one. For good camera prices try www.ebuyer.co.uk DON'T get one from any DSG store (dixons, Currys, Pissyworld) unless you like paying top price!

Don't think it ever had them on vehicles after old 2000MY. Multifunction steering wheel is 350 quid extra - they are standard on European models it would seem. You can get the integrated child seat from a dealer, but you're probably MUCH better looking on EBay - they go for about 100-120 quid. Hate to think how much they are at dealers..... Just go onto EBay and do a search on Ford Galaxy or Sharan or Alhambra...there are usually a few on there. PS I want an integrated fridge - let me know if you spot one!!!

I'm sure you don't need to touch the handbrake other than to make sure it's not on. Retracting brake calipers always seems difficult on most cars, as you're pushing the fluid back into the reservoir. The TIS shows a caliper retracting tool 12-006 used to do this.
