  1. i had them.......
  2. my tdi 115ps galaxy is returning about 35mpg as well. the under car heater is running most times i start the car as well. even returning from france at 85mph it did 35mpg.
  3. take a look at the little button switch in the door frame, add a little oil and push it in a few times to help the oil into the switch. if that dos'ntwork you need to remove it from the door frame and check the earth terminal, clean it up while its out. last resort is to check for broken wires in the main wiring loom that goes into the door fom the A piller.
  4. looks like the best option is a used mk11 and save some money for any future repairs needed?
  5. your key number may have been written in the hand book or service manual by previous owners? maybe a ford dealer will be able to get it from the chasis / reg number? call a locksmith who comes out and does car keys?
  6. my rear washer was only getting 3" up the rear screen as well, the pipe had come apart in the rear door. you can get a tell tale residue of water in ther tailgate by the locking pin above the bumper.
  7. they can be repaired cheaply, see the links for spare wheel.
  8. on the way back from a holiday in france this week, my wipers and water stopped working. checked this forum for the answere and glad i did, as the manual is wrong, and fuse 33 had blown. it is a fiddly job to open the fuse case and change it though.
  9. i have repaired a friends sharon with this type of damage. to remove the bumper skin takes a few minutes, see links on this site. then you may find the plastic fixings are broken? i repaired these with the car body repair stuff with the glass fibre mix. if the bumper is bent out of shape, add heat with a heat gun for just a short time and it goes back to shape. replace bumper and jobs done.
  10. ok thanks i'll finish fitting and let you know. won't be this week though.
  11. it has front and rear sensors. it has reverse input so i have connected that to the reversing light. any idea for the LED unit power supply? this sits on the dash.
  12. just fitting some aftermaket parking sensors and would like to know the best place to connect up the control box power cabel. direct to the batery? onto the ignition? or elswhere? also it has a LED box that needs power to it. wher is best for that?
  13. yes. you need to have rear heated screen on to have them on. (may be front as well or instead of, winter so long ago)
  14. i would say the key fob is broke. mine did the same fault and a new one coded 1st time.
  15. my remote locking has been hit and miss for a while now, i changed both batterys this takes more than 20secs so i had to re-program the remote. this is where it fell down. many attempts and not working at all now. got a new fob from fords at
  16. does it need an adapter loom that fits between the unit and built in loom? my did and when i got it from halfords they sold me the correct one. mine is a halfords own make of dvd and radio and works fine. i did not bother earthing to the hand brake for the dvd to play as it was too much bother.
  17. my 03 plate mk2 has the fixings for 6 or 7 seats
  18. a man comes home from his night shift early one morning, and decides to help him self as he enters the bedroom. he goes under the duvet from the bottom of the bed, and kisses his way up from her feet to her lap where he spend ages getting her going and to completion. he then goes to the bathroom to brush his teeth ready for bed, and finds his wife in there! WHAT THE!!!!! he say's. his wife reply's shshshshs, you'l wake your mum up!!!!
  19. forgot to mention its a good idea to keep tension on the cabel unwinding and winding up to prevent this. rubbish design....
  20. photos and how to repair in the FAQ. although i did not have to remove the winch with the tyre in place. if its not possible then a few holes drilled round the centre of the nylon wheel holder may release the wire. but then its a new one?
  21. ok no relay 30, but my 98 1.9tdi had a relay changed which fixed it. if i can find the bill it may have the relay number on it.
  22. relay 30 is a good culprit, search the forum and you will see......
  23. my haynes book does not mention any seals, but after refitting the pipes you should start the engine and rev it a few times to bleed the air through. check for leaks and then refit the bulkhead and trim panel.
  24. brill!!!
  25. i replaced the rack on my 98 model, but it did have 170k on it...
