i dont have a any temp readings from before, but all the sales gumph says it is cooler with tints. you will not get cooler than the air temp though so if its hot outside its the same in the car. hopefully it lets the air con do its job better? and i like the looks!

this is what mine looks like after tinting. the rear are limo tint the front are light tint all with ultra violet protection.

i had a go with a mate who had a good idea how to do it, and ended up getting it done professionaly. the rear screen was a headache! and it was the one he started on. so two sheets later cut my loses and took the stuff back for a refund.

bugger, bugger, bugger, 1998 tdi air con has failed just after saying it was ok. gas has leaked from the pipe into the dryer. why dont they make the pipes from a thicker gauge of metal? looks like its corroded from the outside. garage recons about

i bought some on the ferry, did'nt get round to fitting them, and did not have any problems. guess the police have better things to worry about?

if you are refering to the ones below the bumper they fit from the rear of the cut out, and need a firm hand to pull them into place. maybe heating in hot water would help.

yes you do. but i had mine done by some one else, tried myself and recked two tints before i gave in. :angry:

you need to use a hot air gun to shrink the film to the concave window.

had this problem with my tdi it would stop and after a short while start again. took three goes to get it home 8 miles. garage changed the relay 90, since then all well. :unsure:

i had one a long time ago G reg. i thought the interia build quality was very poor. you needed a special screw driver for all the screws. just regreted paying all that money as well! and the dealer forgot to pay off the finance when i bought it from him. found out when i tried to sell it.

on my 98 model they pull off from the top first, then unhook from the bottom. the top is held on by the same plastic lugs that hold lots of the trim on.

i have said it before, i got a mobile locksmith to do mine. he read the key i had and programmed the new key from that. he also has a hand held computer to sort out the car. he will travel long distance and i believe he is based in the peterborough area. i have the number if anyone wants it?

may be worth trying a locksmith to pick the locks? should'nt be too hard.

try setting the front air con to blow air to your feet, then the cold air gets blown to the rear of the car.

just done the calculations after a full tank. the mpg has improved from 36mpg to 44mpg. im am very happy with that, looks like the bio desiel has cleaned the fuel system a treat. i'll let you know if anything happens in the long term. :lol:

the rear window needs a lot of patience to do. also a heat gun or hair dryer to shrink the film as it's on the inside of a curve.
