  10. leather should be easier to wipe clean than fabric.... a wash with a sponge and vanish should do the other trims. i have placed some clear polythene over the carpet in mine and that works ok. lift the plastic seat hole covers then lay the plastic and replace the covers to hold it in place.

  15. pipe come apart from rear washer. take trim off passenger foot well to find it, common fault.
  16. one key means a mobile locksmith to make a second and then code both. others have got a second key cut and recoded at a shop. here are the instructions i used in the past but with two keys. Programming new keys for PATS immobilizer This procedure only works if two or more programmed ignition keys are available and it is desired to program additional key(s). Note: If the programming procedure is not successful, the new key(s) will not start the vehicle and the anti-theft indicator will flash. If the programming procedure was not successful leave the ignition switch in the RUN position for at least 30 seconds, repeat the Key Programming procedure from step 1. If the failure repeats, refer to Diagnostic and testing to review DTCs and carry out Pinpoint Tests. Note: A maximum of eight ignition keys can be programmed to a passive anti-theft system (PATS) equipped vehicle. Note: If the steps are not carried out as outlined, the programming procedure will end. Note: Ignition keys must have the correct mechanical key cut for the vehicle and must be a PATS encoded key. 1. Insert the first programmed key into the ignition lock cylinder and turn the lock cylinder from the OFF position to the RUN position (maintain ignition lock cylinder in the RUN position for one second). 2. Turn ignition lock cylinder to the OFF position and remove the first key from the ignition lock cylinder. 3. Within five seconds of turning the ignition lock cylinder to the OFF position, insert the second programmed ignition key into the ignition lock cylinder and turn the ignition lock from the OFF position to the RUN position (maintain the ignition lock cylinder in the RUN position for one second). 4. Turn the ignition lock cylinder to the OFF position and remove the second key from the ignition lock cylinder, key programming mode is now active. 5. Within ten seconds of turning the ignition lock cylinder to the OFF position, insert the unprogrammed ignition key (new key) into the ignition lock cylinder and turn the ignition lock cylinder from the OFF position to the RUN position (maintain the ignition lock cylinder in the RUN position for less than five seconds). 6. Check the new programmed key starts the vehicle. Turn the ignition key to the OFF position for five seconds and then try to start the vehicle with the new programmed key. 7. To program additional key(s), repeat the applicable key programming procedure from step 1.
  17. rear could be the pipe apart at the join under the passenger door trim? prize it up and have a look before it floods the underseat area.
  18. could the metal tab just need a re-bend to catch the lip? over time it may have closed up so is now not engaging. be gentle as sprung metal can snap if forced.
  19. have you tried fishing for it? line and hook.
  20. hang the spare back on the cabel and use its weight to tension the cabel. then try winding up and down with a bit of luck you may sort the snaged cabel. other wise remove the whole unit from the car and replace it or fix it.
  21. i had both bulbs blow within a few days once, since they get the same time use it made sense to me.
  22. if you do buy one to replace it, fitting is a piece of cake so if you can spanner, do it your self and save the money. to repair this one you may be able to reloop the cable back onto the winder by winding it up and down a few times with a bit of tension on it at all times. the strip and repair otion is faily easy and you will see how easly they can go wrong if you wind one with no tension.....
  23. i ran my 96 ga,axy on it no problems. 180k on the clock. got more mpg and it felt smoother too. used to mix it in the tank at 5%
  24. paid and forgoten now......
  25. diesel, i do short journeys with the odd long ones as well. get an average of 36-40mpg. resale is where you do best on having a diesel. the galaxy is great for carrying loads as there is space like a van with the seats out.
