Clock And Heater Panel How Do I Get It Out
adrianf. replied to hugh64's topic in Questions about the Ford Galaxy
I know this is of no help to anyone but i do miss not having the clock in the middle of the dash as on the Gal. On the Ally its in the instrument cluster just under the rev counter which is a great help to other passengers. Moan over. -

I would have thought that driver A was to blame due to the fact that driver B was overtaking in a safe place without breaking the speed limit. Then again driver B was on the wrong side of the road and without witnesses hard to prove what really happened. No doubt the wrong driver will get the blame.

Dont always go for original parts due to the price, but saying that some of the really cheap stuff you see for sale on Ebay i wouldnt touch either. Its trying to get the balance. Only had the Ally a couple of weeks. Been fine, had the air con sorted under warranty but other wise very pleased. Adrian

I would have bought a Mondy estate Ghia X TDCI when i bought the Ally but needed something a bit heavier to pull the caravan. Had one a few years ago and a fab car it was to.

How Can I Tell If I Have A 90 Or 110 Bhp Tdi
adrianf. replied to si.miller's topic in Trainee member help
I think youll find its to do with the engine number which will be on the the reg doc. Try a search, i know ive read things like this before on here. Adrian. -
Welcome to the madhouse. Whatever problems you have there will be someone who has had it before and probably know how to sort it. Adrian.

From what i have learnt from others is, if you dont have air vents in the roof facing the rear seat pasengers then you do not have rear air con. I dont think there are that many cars with it fitted to be honest with you.

Just reprogramed my new remote key i bought of ebay using the three turns to the unlock position then hold lock button and press unlock three times routine. For some reason the new key worked the locking and ran the engine, is this correct. I didnt expect it to start the engine. But the old remote would start the engine but not the locking so i went through the motion again and now both keys work locking but new one wont start engine which is what i expected in the begining. just wondering if anyone had any ideas as to why the new one started the engine in the begining and can i get it to do it again. I wish i left it as it was now. Adrian.

This is sort of aimed more at Alhambra/Sharan drivers more than Galaxy but help from anyone is welcomed with open arms. Having owned the Ally for a couple of weeks i have noticed that if the two cup holders are in use with a couple of cans or cups it is almost impossible to use or even see for that matter the radio IIRC on the Gal i had the radio was a bit lower down so not such a problem. My question is Is it possible to swap the radio with the little storage thingy that is underneath the radio, so the radio is a bit lower down and the storage thingy is higher up behind the cup holders (does that make any sense). :D I know nothing is imposible but was wondering if any of you folks could give any advice on this please. Adrian.

Aye they were good old motors, dont make em like that anymore. The closest i came to a good old fast motor ( but not a ford )was a Talbot Sunbeam Lotus. It was really quick in a straight line but trying to get the sodding thing to stop or go around corners was a nightmare. At the same time i had a Pug 205 GTI 1.9 which is known for being a nippy little motor but the Sunbeam would leave it standing. Adrian.

All this talk about winter and heated garages has got me wondering if i am in a different country. We dont even know what cold is in this country. Im lucky and have a nice big double garage but the car never gets put in it any time of the year. Too cold in the mornings to mess about opening it up.

Track Control Arm And Bushes
adrianf. replied to mickyt's topic in Ford Galaxy Technical Section MK I MK II
O dear Put very simple the track control arm is on each end of the stearing rack and turns the front wheels from side to side and rubber bushes are mounted at various points around the suspension and stearing set up to enable some flexibility and movement. In other words yours is knackered and there is too much movement. Adrian -
Yup mine grab the seat pockets also. Good idea 10 out of 10 Adrian.

Off to Disneyland Paris next week for the first time by road sailing from Southampton. Anyone got any tips for the trip (Good or bad) Cheers Adrian.
