  3. Maybe no-one knows so keep their mouths shut rather than giving misleading or incorrect advice . Did you consider that?
  4. If u have ipod use a connects2 adapter, plugs into the back of the 6000cd unit and replaces cd changer
  5. Agrees with argrdnr my experience of visor jobbies are little better than useless, specialky when they fall off ! I use aparrot kit ,just plugs into the iso wiring loom at back of stereo tho i did have to buy adaptor loom for my mk2
  6. Was under the ashtray on my mk1
  7. Air con works cos it removes moisture from the air, ideally it should be on all year round. Unless like mine its broken

  10. Agrees with chris Id guess u burnt the new clutch out getting whatever it was off the camp site,possibly slipping now
  11. On my mk1 i took the old pipe to a motorsports place and had them make up a flexi braided steel jobbie ,soooooo much easier to fit and they dont break chucking all the oil out and wrecking youe engine
  12. Has anyone tried any of the numerous upgrade bulbs on the market?Im refering to standard fit bulbs not PITA hid things There seems to be a vast array on ebay etc blue tinted ,some offering 90%more light What results have u lot had??
  13. And heres me trying to help! Now if i was the lloyd(who i thought was looking for discs all round,and for the quotes hes had id hope so), Id be looking on the sellers shop site. Just to find what I need. He could even contact seller with reg no and have them tell him what he needs. But thats just me

  18. Dunno! if i forward link from my mobile to desktop email it opens using internet explorer no probs ,as do the last few topics ,just not the earlier ones, always used to . Personally I suspect that something broke when the site fell over a while back

  20. Engine off,noise still there. Id be looking at brakes and praying its not a wheel bearing
  21. If its the aux belt tensioner wheel u are changing,all i did to releive the tensioner was slip a big adjustable spanner over the arm and relieve the belt tension that way
  22. whilst on that no3injector connector have a look under the rubber boot as well ,mine had a loose crimp,causing missfire like symptoms and weeks of sodding about trying to find the cause
  23. On my old mk1 it rarely got hot enuff for the cooling fans to kick in,had to be in traffic for ages. Seem to recall it being to do with diesels (in general)not producing much waste heat which is why mk2s have the aux heater to help things along. I would guess that if its going to overheat it would have by now. Mpg has improved because its now running at operating temp ,not on cold settings(like leaving the choke in,anyone remember those??)
