  2. Im with gregers my mk2 has a 3point mounted from the roof Mk2 deisels are pd units ,loadss of info on here
  3. Scan it with vcds mate and see what it reports
  4. On my old mk1 ,after having 2 fracture(talking to cabbies apparently it happens a lot after cluch changes,maybe mechanics hanging off them) I replaced it with a flexible braided stainless jobbie like the braided steel brake hoses you can get Local racing car placemadeit upfor me
  5. Broken door wires cause magnificent electrical failures check these first
  6. Id guess a cheap buzzer from maplins wired from the sidelight power to swtched earth on door switch shuold do the trick
  7. What about good old fashioned valve stem seals Seems to be the symtoms

  11. Ps oil coolers on ebay cheap enough

I go with oil cooler,had the same on my mk1 Also when u change it the cooling system will need a damn good flushing out as the oil destroyed all the water hoses on mine, luckily its summer so u wont be loosing antifreeze when u drop the water I used washing detergent in mine!!liquid of course,stuck in run for a day dropped it out and flushed. Repeated a couple of times and all was well
  13. Id be disconnecting the cable first to see if it moves freely,if it dont change that first cheapest and easiest option, dont even have to take the wheel off !

  17. Ive got a few brushes to do these pesky pumps Side entry braid about22mm long Brushes 6.4x5x13mm £4.50 posted Also rear entry braid ones (ive used these on my own car ok) 5.5x6x15mm braid length about 22mm Same price

  19. Did u check ALL the fuses or just the one indicated for interior lights? Lost mine recently and found the mini fuse (marked alarm horm)had blown,replaced and got them back This was on mk2
  20. Im sure my mintex discs were marked mdc**** etc The seller i bought from is still listing them(just checked) Google bd903v and u do find brake discs but not under mintex
  21. Id be checking power at the fuse box tbh ,if thats ok gotta be a wiring break I lost interior lights recently checked the fuses in the handbook,all good pulled each fuse out in turn until i found another blown one replaced it and got my ligjts back. Handbook listed it as alarm horn
  22. Mk2 press the button underneath the stalk to switch between current journey and total since last reset Current journey resets after about an hour with ignition off,both can be reset by holding bottom button in for a coupke of secs As seatkid says a little1 or2shows which is which
