Right ,I pulled the dash out and the hole where the bulb would fit is blanked out ,so I reckon it aint got one !!!!!

Its non OE head unit ,came off of svp.com ,bargian!!!!radio 2 is fine but virgin it just wont have any of !! Does the booster you speak ofgo onto the back of the radio ,or the aerial booster at the rear window,? Also any idea where to get one as Halfords round here are staffed by 12 yr olds that think everyone should have a saxo fully loaded with ripoff .oops ripspeed stuff

Hi all. on a 97 tdi galaxy ,where will I find the other end of the aerial.I mean Ive got the radio end ,but reception is so Cr*p(poor!!)I thought id be better off wiv a bee sting on the top ,trouble is I cant find anything in the haynes book about where the cable is routed . So Im not sure whether to stick one on the roof at the front or back of the car Cheers ,I just know someone will know ,you know

hi all ,the car is a 97 1.9tdi glx In the top of the fuel guage there seems to be a red light ,the same as is found in the top of the temp gauge.Presumably this is for a low fuel warning light Does a 97 glx deisel have this ?the handbook is no help because it covers every option fitted to every galaxy ever made The guage functions fine other than that ,just want to kow if its supposed to have one before I pull the dash out looking for a blown bulb ps ,sticking 69.5 ltrs in a 70 litre tank also made me wonder a bit :lol:

hi all ,ive not bought a haynes manual yet so agian need your help! how do i change the fuel filter on a 97 tdi,I assume that the canister just unscrews but cant see a pump to bleed the air out ,is it an electric jobby? cheers dave

I have a 90bhp TDi.:lol: It is capable of 100mph indicated on the straight and a comfortable 90mph including reasonable gradients. The lack of performance you describe is a classic symptom of MAF sensor failure (mine did exactly the same and eventually it gets worse....). Either replace it with a new one (

Hi ,Ivve just bought a 97 tdi 90 bhp with 90,000 on the clock,what sort of performance is "normal"? On a straight and level bit of motorway I can get around 85-90 but as soon as it hits a bit of a gradient this is dropping off to around 70 Swanscombe cutting and Wrotham hill on the moerway stretches see 65 and dont seem to be happy!!! Is this normal Before you all start I know its not a race car ,but even so...... Plus it seems to be very noisy in the cabin ,a lot of engine roar any advicce greatly appreciated dave

got a similairr problem with my 97 glx no red light ,you can hear the central locking motor working but none of the doors locl or open with it ,only the drivers on the key any ideas thanks dave
