Well im thinking of a Zetec, better on fuel and i have had zetecs before so know my way around them and know if somethings not working what it is etc etc. Plus i know all the tuning tricks of them :lol: thats why i wanted to know if the gearbox is a mtx75, as i know all zetecs bolt stright onto that gearbox, so all i wouls need to do is sort out engine mounts which is no proplem. So its a VTX75 gearbox then, so ids this whats fitted in the 2.3 galaxys then??? if so i know for defo that a zetec will fit, as the 2.3 bottom end is a common mod on RS2000`s and there fitted with the MTX75 box. Sorry for all the questions, just wont to be sure before i go engine hunting The VTX 75 is fitted to the 2.3 as well. :o Andy.

Have a look on ebay for some old brochures, there's usually a few on there, they have all the details about each model etc. My last one was an early Mk2, registered Oct/Nov 2000 on an X. :D Andy.

Hi Gooner, well almost 4,500 kilometres up on it now and all is well. Am keeping an eye on the oil level.....I was told all new engines use some oil till they settle down. Am averaging 48 mpg at the moment which is pleasing. I am well pleased so far especially the driving position and the gearbox...........very slick. A couple of minor gripes are that bloody safety belt chime.....which i disabled , and also when you turn on your heater the a/c comes on automatically. Apart from that I am a happy camper! B) Oh and the spare wheel hassle is a bit of a pain in the a***. Hi Larry, try turning the directional control for the heater away from the windscreen only setting and see if that stops the AC coming on automatically. :rolleyes: Andy.

In the Mk2; where fitted, the lap and diagonal, 3 point seatbelt returns to the headlining behind the 2nd row offside seat. The 2nd row middle seat will have two seatbelt locking points, a small one on the right and the normal one on the left. Its the same in the C-Max. :lol: Andy.
