Well done Maz. What you should do now is replace the original level sensor and see if disconnecting the battery cured the warning light with that one in place.  :D :D Andy.
Maz, On the subject of bulbs, IIRC there are two rear light bulbs on each side, a bigger one incorporating the brake light and a smaller one beside it. If that is the case then your off-side smaller one is not working. :( Andy.
The fuse for the blowers is F6 rated at 25A. Its the 6th from the left in the bottom row of fuses. The fuse for the wipers is F5 rated at 10A. The relay for the wipers is K11 which is just above fuses 5,6&7. As some of the functions work it could be a faulty multifunction switch/stalk. Which position is relay 103 in your fuse box? That no. is not shown on TIS so tell me where it is and I'll see what it is listed as. :o Andy.
Try putting idler pulley into 'search' at the top of the page. There are 7 or 8 old threads that might help you. IIRC once you've removed the belt by twisting back the tensioner against its spring its a 19mm ring spanner to undo the nut in the middle of the pulley that then allows the tensioner to be removed. After taking the front offside wheel and the wheel arch liner off access to the area is greatly improved. :o Andy.
It is definately on TIS. I'm afraid I haven't got the time just now to locate it. IIRC Look for alternator, removing and replacement. Andy. (I think they recommend going through the offside wheel arch.)
Hi Maz, I've got a pair of metal ramps you could borrow. I've had the back of a Gal up on them to fit a towbar but may have to be a bit careful at the front because of the overhang. I'll have a scout round in the old workshop at work tomorrow there might be some axle stands as well. ;) Andy.
I know you shouldn't have to with such a new car but try reclining the seat right back then trap a rolled-up tea towel between the back and seat cushions as you wind the seat up again. You might have to experiment with different thicknesses of roll until you eliminate the movement. :16: Andy.
No the op. was supposed to stop his hand curling into a loose fist shape and then going up and down very quickly, obviously it failed......... :) :16: Andy.
I heard a company car driver saying on the radio that because of health and safety regs. his company wouldn't allow him to change a wheel on his vehicle, it had to be done by someone like ATS. The mind boggles..... Andy.
AVG the free antivirus people have just launched a free Anti-spyware programme that can be downloaded from www.computeractive.co.uk/2171355  Andy.
