This has probably been posted before but it seems aircon problems are a 'known' item: TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETIN No.112/2002 Car and Light/Medium Commercial 28.11.2002 Section: 412-03 Model: Galaxy 2000.75, built up to and including 21.07.2002 (build code 2M) Markets: All Subject: Air conditioning system inoperative or inadequate cooling power; leaks in the air conditioning system Summary Should a customer express concern that the air conditioning system is inoperative or there is inadequate cooling power and there are leaks in the air conditioning system, the probable cause is a corroded/damaged aluminium cover on the air conditioning condenser or a damaged O-ring. To rectify this concern, a new air conditioning condenser should be installed. :lol: Andy.

There are 4 wires that go to the locking motor through the multipin: 1x black and green, 1x brown and white, 1x black and yellow and 1x white. Looking at the multipin itself, pin 7 changes from green to black/red, pin 20 is black/red on both sides of the connector and pin 26 changes from red/black to red/white. :lol: Andy.

According to TIS there are 3 wires that go to the wing mirror through the round multi pin connector C101/102 :1x blue/black into and out of connector, 1x brown and green into connector - brown and yellow out of connector and 1x black and red into and out of connector. The black and red one moves the mirror up and down. Hope this helps, :lol: Andy.

IIRC during the debate a while ago about whether the mods. were doing a good job or not several people commented that the 'pinned' section in GD&N was becoming too big by taking up most of the first page. I think Mo4 replied that she would try and get the number reduced but now we are down to just 3 non-pinned items on the first page. Perhaps it would kill two birds with one stone if all the 'meet' related topics had a section of their own. :D Andy.

It could be worth trying a dealer rather than going direct to Ford's. Largish dealer groups usually have stands at events that are local to them such as county shows and motor racing events. They MIGHT be persuaded to part with some of their advertising budget to help the club. This could be approached on a regional basis with a dealer or dealers being targeted in each area. :lol: Andy.

Dont know about the price but IIRC they push fit onto some of the pipe work. On my Mk2 Tdi there was an orange/yellow collar at the front for the dip stick to fit through. The dipstick had a small plastic pointer on it that fitted into a triangular recess in the collar. :) Andy.

I remember reading somewhere that the reason Fords didn't go down the sliding door route was that if a normal door is open it should be obvious to other drivers that the door is open and that someone(especially children) may emerge from that door.
