  1. Someone might if you didn't SHOUT at them........ Andy.
  2. Time to draw a veil over it and move on............ :D Andy.
  3. Looky here.... http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Ford-GHIA-X-BADGE-ge...1QQcmdZViewItem :( Andy
  4. is this the electroshock therapy administered when it detects you dozing off :) :) :( No, that would be the 'INactive Driver Assistance Pack' :D :D :D ;) Andy.
  5. According to the 'New Galaxy' Brochure of 2006.5 all the above are standard on the Ghia but options on the LX. Zetec gets the alarm and parking assist and cruise as an option. Its the 'Adaptive cruise control, collision mitigation by braking, audio and visual forward collision warning system, ESP, EBA and hill launch assist' that is an option on the Ghia as the 'Active Driver Assistance Pack'...........whatever all that means???  Andy.
  6. The one you have removed is shown on TIS as the 'AC Wide Open Throttle' relay and the one you have left in is called the 'Decoupling' relay. Hope this helps, Andy.
  7. Note: If the corresponding marking on the transmission housing cannot be seen, the centre of the hole must be used. Note: The TDC marking on the flywheel and the corresponding marking on the upper transmission housing (inspection hole) must line up. This is what TIS says and looking at the diagram the marking could be on the inside of the flywheel and only be visible looking away from the engine towards the transmission. <_< Andy.
  8. Looking at TIS there isn't a relay 94 but relay 4 is for the fuel pump. Whereabouts in the fuse box is this relay fitted? <_< Andy.
  9. Should the 1.6 Tdci fitted to Focus and C-Max have an engine cover to hide the rocker covers, injectors etc? (No wise-cracks about the bonnet please <_<) Thanks, Andy :)
  10. Bleeno and Madbaz thanks for the replies and info. It seems as though some menu items are accessed by pressing the menu button for a short time and some are accessed by pressing it for a longer time. Once I'd sussed this I was able to find the clock and date setting point and put them both right. Thanks again, :D :D Andy.
  11. After 21 Fords in 30 years of driving I wasn't going to change now. :D :D Andy.
  12. Must be an import, its got German plates!!! :D :D :D Andy.
  13. There are lots of Ford changers and KA specific CD/Radios on Ebay atm. Andy.
  14. Does anyone know if it is possible to change the time/date manually on one of the latest 6000CD double din units as fitted to new Focus, C-Max etc.? Have searched the audio book and menu function but to no avail. Presumably if it is not possible to do it manually it must rely on RDS? Andy.
  15. When I get to see it in daylight!!!!!!! :( Andy.
  16. Not really a question but I've just taken delivery of a C-Max 1.6Tdci Zetec in Panther Black. Due to financial restraints had to down-size from 2 cars to 1. Traded in a Ka and a Maverick for the C-Max which is a bit of a cross between the two, big enough for the 4 of us but small enough for the wife to manage having not long passed her test. Big :( :D upto now..... Andy.
  17. Sounds like the plastic cowling behind the steering wheel is being rubbed by the back of the wheel as you turn it. Try a drop of easing fluid between the two surfaces. ;) Andy.
  18. Just right winter coming...... http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Ford-Galaxy-32L-Frid...1QQcmdZViewItem  Andy.
  19. Yes you have to press the roll pins out, yes it is an integral part of the lid, yes it will cost the earth from a dealer so breaker or Ebay is your best bet. Be gentle when you put the pins back in or you could be back to square one!! Andy.
  20. This may be a long shot but when I recently fitted a Fiesta digital clock into my Maverick I needed 2 live feeds. The 'power' wire only made the LCD figures work. The backlight didn't work nor could I change the time using the buttons. The clock kept time but could not be altered. My initial thought was dodgy clock so I tried another one, same thing happened. Looked at TIS for the function of the 4 wires leading to the clock and found, as well as the power and earth, the the third one provided the 'alarm active' flashing icon and the fourth one completed the PATS circuit. This fourth wire was also live so I connected this to the same feed as the power wire and lo and behold the clock lit up and I could change the time. The clock was permanently back lit but was not too intrusive so I left it alone. <_< Andy.
  21. Looking great but with the present fear for vehicle cloning should that reg.no. at the top right be left uncovered? I see all the rest have been blanked. ;) Andy.
  22. There is a 24hr ELF petrol station just off junc. 2 of the A26. Its mainly a HGV station but there are car pumps to the left of the shop, very useful for the last/first fill-up. Agree with earlier comments about the rest areas and service stations. The 'aires' are a definate no-no for overnights but the service stations are OK. Watch out for the nasty kink in the A26 where it crosses the A16. The first ticket barrier on the A26 has a machine on the right for UK drivers but none of the rest do. A string of cars coming the opposite way flashing their lights usually means a radar trap or you haven't adjusted your lights for driving on the right. Dont change to French time until you arrive at your destination. (Psycologically you will be an hour less tired). Most of all have a great time. :( Andy.
  23. You might have a Ford engine?? but 99% of the rest of the vehicle apart from the badges is VAG. Same vehicle as VW Sharan and Seat Alhambra all made in the same factory in Portugal. ;) :) Andy.
  24. They do...... it's called a cheque book!!!!! :( :o Andy.
