Apparently the only thing they have found in the dodgy fuel that shouldn't be in there is silicon. -
Its 50 miles further going clockwise, never mind anti- Andy.

Defective Fuel In Se And London
AndeeeH replied to Dan Gleebitz's topic in Ford Galaxy Technical Section MK I MK II
Pick ass....oh!!!!! -
Maz, Autoroute says its just over 80 miles from where you are, going via M4 junc 15 then the A419/ A420 to Bicester, then North on the M40 to junc 10, then the A43 towards Brackley and right onto the A421 to MK. About 1 hr 30 mins with a tailwind and a good navigator!!!! Andy.

At least I can read it and don't just have to look at the pictures. :) Andy.

To quote part of an article from this months Caravan Club mag. where the writer is bemoaning the demise of the 'Little Chef'; "Truth be told, my heart always sinks when the other half says she's preparing a nice home-made picnic for the journey to our weekend caravanning venue. Don't get me wrong, the wife's buttered baps never fail to get me excited.................."

Have a look at your VIN plate located under the bonnet. The 4 boxes below the long VIN no. give the relevant weight limits for your vehicle. The first one is the Gross Vehicle Mass, the second is the Gross Train Mass, the third is the Maximum Permissable Front Axle Mass and the fourth is the Maximum Permissable Rear Axle Mass. The GVM is 2510 kg and the kerbweight is 1724 incl. driver, IIRC the rear seats weigh about 20 kg each so you are looking at a useable payload of about 880 kgs. :) Andy.

June 2003 brochure shows only one power point in the back. IIRC, although it could of been in the Mk1, you can get small, triangular shaped ashtrays that push-fit into the rear passenger door pockets. :) Andy.

Roof Mounted Unit & Dask Switch Blanks
AndeeeH replied to springen's topic in Customising your Ford Galaxy
If your 'thing in the roof with slots in' is like the one in the C-Max then that is where the mic. for the hands free phone kit is fitted. :( Andy. -
You can put the travel brochures away!!!! Looking at TIS again the 3 digit code WF0 designates which part of Ford's Global set-up the vehicle was made for, in this case Ford's of Germany. Digit 9 designates which actual factory it was built in. Digit 9 should be an 'S' for Setubal in Portugal. Andy.
-
I'll second that.  Andy.
-
From what you have said your vehicle was made in September 1996 in Germany, which is a bit odd as it is generally thought they were all made in Portugal. Andy.
-
To avoid any confusion when counting the digits the first one is always an *, this is then followed by 2 letters and 1 no. which, in your case, should be TW2. :P Andy.
-
Further to the above: the VIN no. will show when your Gal was built. The 12th digit will be T for 1996 or V for 1997. The 13th digit will show the month, K for Oct. '97 or D for Nov. '97, the month the 110 was introduced, hence vehicle code VD from my first post. :D Andy.
-
When I picked that one off ebay there were 3 or 4 others breaking Mk2's, might be worth doing a search. :D Andy.
-
According to a well known Technical Information Service the 110bhp was only fitted after 03/11/97 on vehicles with a build code of VD. The engine code for the 110 is AFN. Upto 15/09/96 the code for the 90 is 1Z and after 16/09/96 the code is AHU. There would originally have been a label on the timing belt cover showing the engine code and serial no. :D Andy.

The 1.8 TDCi comes in two flavours, 100 and 125 PS while the 2.0 TDCi is rated at 140 PS, so there should be some difference in the performance. :46: Andy.

According to the Galaxy brochure for MY 2003.5, heated seats were standard on the 2.8i Ghia and an option on the other Ghia models but the swivelling option was lost when heated seats were fitted. :) Andy.

Can only see pics. of a black cat in a coal hole with a red cross in its right ear. :) Andy.
